I am thinking to attend track days for the summer and looking for the best alignment setting for my A4.
What's the best camber, caster, toe settings for track use ?

My thoughts were to run
-3.5 camber front
-2.5 camber rear
0 toe
and then may be positive caster (but also need to figure out how much)

Existing Parts ;

H&R Red coilovers.
H&R sway bars 32mm -21mm
Adj. Sperical cotrol arms front/rear
Motorsport sway bar end links.
4:1 diff mod.

Thanks..

I would love to know about this too. But the camber seems quite a bit.

Thanks for your comments .. it looks like it's better to start with low numbers. I will start with your current set-up for the track and will see how the car feels than if required, I will play with the settings as you do.

a wee 1/32 toe out in the rear, and a wee 1/32 toe in for the front.

Great post thank you. I will go between agressive street and track stet-up too since I use the car on the street as you do.
Do you know, how Stasis Engineering do the measurement for the ride hight ? From fender to the ground ?

-1 degree on all four tires, with 0 toe. Anything more aggressive will just eat up tires on the street and will not give you any better track times. The "race" set up that Stasis suggests is for real race cars like theirs, in which all rubber bushings are replaced by solid heim joints. Our car's factory rubber bushings flex sooo much in a turn, that running aggressive amounts of camber just chew up tires, not change tire slip.

Realistically for any car that will be driven on the street and used a few times at the track should be careful with how much camber they run. I am usually running ~1.2-1.3 deg camber at all 4 corners and '0' toe. This is a good compromise for a DD and weekend track toe.

its the factory setting toe that needs to go right off the bat.

if it's driven on the street, I'd do zero toe for sure. 5-6deg positive caster. For camber, remember your dialing in more negative camber to increase traction in the front or rear while cornering...this part can vary depending on what tires you're running, spring rates, roll bar rates, and differential choices...that being said, I'd imagine your car pushes...more camber up front (-2 is a good place to start) with -1 or so out back. As you start to balance out the car via chassis improvements, you may start upping both of those numbers.

I am going to alignment tmr, this thread is very helpful.

Aiming for:
1.2-1.5 all 4 corners
5 positive caster
0 toe all 4 corners
