I have a newsouth electronic boost gauge, the one that sits in the vent. Now I'm not sure if it's working correctly but the needle takes a long time to "climb up" to where you can read the boost. Any ideas? Could it be a boost leak?

Do you have a 3.2? or a 2.0t :) :)

Does the car feel really sluggish and slow? Or does it feel normal?

Best regards,
Sean.

need a little more detail i'm afraid as to how this is happening. what driving conditions, how much throttle are you giving, what gear, are you tuned, etc

Car is stage 2 apr tip... I've seen gauges that totally jump... Fast. This one seems "sluggish". The car itself moves without a doubt. How long does it usually take to see full boost?

electronic ones may move smoother (read slower) the mechanical guages tends to jump and buzz and spike a lot

I had a feeling it could be that... How long would it take to see full boost on such a gauge?

Since it is electronic your response should be pretty smooth unless you have poor connections, but if you don't think it is reading right or you might be losing boost the first place I would look would be your diverter valve

you shouldnt be waiting there for seconds, but its not going to spike seemingly instantly like the mechanical guages.....it'll be a smooth rise to peak boost and may fall a few psi

what numbers are you hitting on your boost? you should be higher then 15 if your stage 2 bolt-ons?

Had a pinch in the line... Knew something was wrong

Line was pinched... Now it's straightened out but still isn't "perfectly round" would this pose a problem? It's straightened out but you can still see where it was pinched. Should I replace?

you can if you want to, a pinched line should make you have no response at all, if theres a crimp you could replace the hose, its what? 5 $ for like 4 feet and maybe an hr of ur time
