Hey all! I've been a lurker on here for a while, need some advice. Complete car newb - in process of OEM RS4 rear sway bar install on my B7 A4, and having some trouble:

The left side end link bold came out just fine with a bit of force to break the thread lock, but the right side end link bold does not remove - it just spins the cylinder assembly in place when I turn the wrench. Was wondering if anybody else has had this problem, and whether or not it would be a good idea to position a vice grip where indicated in the picture below, and rest the vice grip along the upper control arm so I have both hands free to break the bolt loose. Thoughts? Thanks a lot

Heat the bolt and vise grip the socket.

^ There are. Just use an open ended wrench. I can't remember the size off of the top of my head, but mine did the same thing.

Thanks a lot for the feedback; I'll try it again later today and report back. The top bolts on the brackets seem like they'll be tough to remove too.. i'm sure I can figure it out. At least I know i have the right brackets haha

The hardest part is getting the bar out from beneath the car.
