I had my new brakes professionally installed last. On my way home from tonight, i had to make stop and I noticed that the center cap (plastic) was missing. When I got home, I noticed that the wheel was real hot and that the writing on the pads was like melted. The other side was ok. I have to be at work early or I would stop by the shop. Do you think the rotor will warp?

Was the rotor a reddish/orange color? Do the rear rotors side to side look any different in color/texture? Perhaps the shop didn't install one side correctly and the one rotor assy has some drag or something.

The e-brake cable is too short and binds. The rotor is a darker grey now. I sent an e-mail to Stasis about this. The brakes were installed correctly. I stopped by the shop this am.

Turns out the e-brake cable was binding. Stasis says you should leave the cable unclipped. They don't give that instruction of course. They don't even tell you which is left or right. The instructions tell you about an attachment for bedding, which was not there. You pay almost $1,000 with install and nothing fits correctly. If anyone wants to buy this kit, pm me first.
Yeah... the e-brake cable needs to be left unclipped or it will stretch and then drag the pads on the rotor.

The instructions suck, they should tell you this. It is hard to tell when you are installing.

Yes you do. They're talking about essentially attaching/clipping the line in (to a bracket) or not.
We^^^ What he said. We were referring to putting the brake cable back into the OEM clips which does not work so well.
Once the suspension moves it will stretch the cable and drag the pads onto the rotor.
