Im wondering if anyone has ever modified an S-line grille badge to fit the mesh on an RS4 grille. I dig the grille badge look, but Im obviously not going to put an RS4 badge on my B7 S-line.
I think it can be done be removing and re-attaching the mounting brackets on the back of the S-line badge at the proper angle, then using the metal clips to attach it. Just wanted to know if anyone else had tried this.

I see a ton of RS4 grilles, but Ive never seen one fitted with an S-line badge. The easy fix would be to buy the RS4 grille badge, carefully break off the plastic clips on the back and remount them onto a S-line badge. However, I think it can be done without buying the $40 RS4 badge.

Should be able to fit the original mounts trough the mesh on the RS4 grill. Than just use some steelwire or something on the back. If they dont fit trough just grind dem down a little.

Eddie Man used epoxy to mount his s4 badge on his Rs4 grille.
Here's his simple write up.

I just installed an RS4 grille and want to mount my S-Line badge on it without using glue or epoxy. If anyone knows another way to do this (i.e. cutting the bracket off an RS4 badge) please let us know.
Thanks!

You will have to buy a factory RS4 grill badge then remove the rs4 and replace it with s-line that you can remove from your original. I did this with my DTM badge on my RS4/DTM grill. Same idea though.

Ok, awesome! What did you use to glue the badge onto the RS4 clip?

Also, which RS4 badge was it? I found two types on ECS:
1.) http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_RS4--V8/Exterior/Emblem/ES5549/
2.) http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_RS4--V8/Exterior/Emblem/ES3561/
Thanks again!

Cheaper solution:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S-Line-Front-Grill-Badge-Logo-Emblem-AUDI-A4-A5-A6-A8-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aa7042c91QQitemZ32062 9648529QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries
Paying 60$ for a legit RS4 badge just to peal off the RS4 logo and apply a 3m sided S-line badge that costs an additional 10$ on ebay is too expensive solution. I must admit it looks damn good though! I will post some pics of these ebay crap installed when it arrives in the mail. It is from china and costs 10$ so im not showing much optimism on this purchase. I purchased a set of 4 RS4 centercaps last year for 99 Cents....lol on ebay and when they arrived i was pretty impressed... A week later the paint peeled off and i had yellow center caps! I went to the local stealership and ended up paying 100$ for all 4 OEM ones

Thanks for the solution, but I'm not going to skimp on this. You get what you pay for in life, and if it means $54 for an OEM RS4 badge that will last a lifetime, it's worth it IMO.

I will post pics and a follow up on the ebay one. Im 100% with you on "you get what you pay for" but 100$ for a grille badge Is a little over the top. The ECS RS4 badge will be my plan B if this Ebay one is not on par.
I had the RS4 grille on for over a year and a half and it feels empty without a badge.

It was actually my first plan. But then decided I did not want to cut the lateral* strips because I want to revert back to stock when I sell car.

I just got my badges in the mail today and dis-assembled them, what should I use to hold the S-Line badge onto the plastic? (the OEM tape has been removed)

I got my set-up in the mail today, I bought the RS4 badge off the dude on the classifieds and ordered a Brand new S-line badge from GOINGFAST. Got it today and the S-line badge had 3m on the back, i just stuck it on the RS4 badge bracket and looks damn good. only thing is i cant figure out how the RS4 badge clips on... i tried every angle and nearly froze to death outside before giving up!!! there is a circular piece on the back of the rs4 badge that keeps blocking the badge from fully clipping in... WTF
