I got the fault codes from a local Audi shop and they said they can't fix it cause it is something in the transmission. But they gave me these fault codes 18149 P1741 clutch pressure adaptation limit reach; 18151-P1743 clutch clip monitoring signal too high. The local shop said theres something wrong with the trans pump. Do I have to change out the whole trans if there is something wrong with the trans pump???????
what you guys think????? Audi says I need a new transmission, it's super frustrating that they can't find out what is wrong with the transmission. I mean they are supposed to be the experts since they sell them. Audi of Hawaii sucks!

Go to a different dealership if you can, you don't need a new gearbox, either just a hydraulic pump or a forward clutch pack kit. Those things are under 1/3 the cost of a new gearbox including labor, but some dealerships do not know how to work on CVT's. If there is another Audi dealer, try going there.

Theres no other audi dealer in hawaii. Do you think I should call up one of the mainland dealerships??? It's hard to find mechanics that do Audi down here, since the trans and engine problems are all computerized and stuff.

Yes, definitely contact a dealership on the mainland , it would probably be cheaper for you to ship your transmission to them to be repaired than to replace the whole gearbox locally
Did anything happen with this? I just got the same error after it was jerking after a stoplight.
