These pics were from November of 2000 the car was about 6 months old at that point.

the first mod was an AMS stg2 chip (no pic). then did some aesthetic mods including the RS4 grille, m3 lip, Kamei eyelids and did and full 2.5" S4 exhaust setup with a magnaflow resonator. (the car was originally gonna be a total sleeper).

then came the bug to pick up a set of wheels, the selection was LE37T gunmetal with a polished lip in 18x7.5. i cant find the pics before i put the RS4 kit so oh well. stock A4 with LE's, you get it.

My reasoning behind getting the RS4 kit was basically the bumper, I wanted the large mouth to fit the greddy intercooler as i didnt want to cut the bumper support. And thus the DVS18t method of installing the greddy FMIC was born.

the car stayed like that for a little while until july of 2003 where i was coming up on 65000 miles and a thirst for more power. at which point I installed this.

Initially the car ran poorly as it is a DBW and the setup for these cars from PES at the time was subpar. So I took it upon myself to fix it, with the help of Jeff Moss @the torque-factory (who became a very good friend of mine in the process). we revamped the setup and after a short trip to GIAC for some new basemaps and programming for the VR6 MAF and N75J valve. we street tuned the car, the rest is history and jeff is a fucking genius, i have spent hours and hours upon end with him and can say so with confidence.

the car was getting close to where i wanted it to be, but now that the car wasnt a sleeper anymore i wanted something more from the exhaust setup, so i sought out to have a full straight through 2.5" setup (trying to make the most power i could without going 3" as the car was a DD and i didnt want drone on the freeway (most of the miles were on the freeway). I changed to an S4 rear (from the V2) and came up with this exhaust setup.

lastly I was looking for a change on the wheels and had always loved the RS6 wheels (the 5 spoke ones) so I picked up a set of those and this is how she sits now.

I just hope the new owner can appreciate the time and effort that has been put into this car. And more importantly appreciate how much fun and reliable the car is in its current state. The car is his now and he will pick it up in about a week. Thanks for looking.
