DVD Nav-Plus

I have a source in Germany for the latest DVD NAV-PLUS if anyone is intetrested.

The guy is selling for $1500(US) shipped anywhere with install guides, disks and all hardware. This is pure plug and play for the B6 Audi.

If you have a Bose system he wants 30 euro more for the required cable.

is there a way to get dvd functionality to the unit? Does have have access to external changers?

What's the part number? If it's European spec that's not that good of a deal...if it's US that's probably about an $800 or more savings...plus the Euro can be a hassle...

It is Euro Spec but the US disks have been reburned to work correctly.

Greg, what about the Can-Bus display to have the navigation on there as well? does it have to be changed?

I'll check on that but as far as I know this is for the B6 with the red display. Switching to the color display is a pretty big task as far as I know.

I have it with the MFA on my 4motion and to be honest, you never really look at the display, the voice guides you where to go.

I am pretty sure you get no AM stations though.

To allow the center Diver Information System display to show information such as driving directions and track names all you need to do is alter a channel with the vag tool. Click here to see the schemantics for the RNS-E to work with the DIS To activate the screen if you have the bicolored DIS just click your power on/off button on the Nav+ and it will apear on the dash. To turn the DIS off hit the reset button on bottom of the wiper stalk.

I ordered mine yesterday. I am trying to work out a deal for 10 of them.

Hopefully I can get him down to $1300 for 10 or more.

By "this guy", if you are refering to 400HPA4, he is very trustworthy and is an asset to the community.

At least a dozen people here have already ordered door blades from him.

I know 400HPA4 is trustworthy, he is all over this forum, I was just asking if anyone hod got one yet. So if I understand right with the euor nav+ you can hook up a exturnal video source like DVD or playstation, but you can't do this on a US nav+. Also on the euor nav+ you can't use AM. Is there any other big differences between the two setups. This is something I would really like to have I just want to know everything about it.

Ill vouch for 400HPA4 his reputration on here is second to none weather knowledge or anything. Keep in mind not to many guys overseas would give to chits about trying like hell to hook us up back home here. Give him credit to go out of his way and give up his own time for us.

I ordered mine and I am playing guinea pig on this one. The guy seems pretty standup and has quite a few (over 100) positive feedbacks on ebay.de. I assure you guys if I get screwed you will all hear about it.

If there is a technical writeup after you install it with every step that needs to be taken, I would be in on a group buy price.

According to the supplier there are a full set of instructions in most languages to facillitate installation. He has assured me that every single thing I need for installation will be there and the only additional item I needed was a extra cable for 30 euro because I have the Bose symphony sound system.

Well, I have not received it yet...it is on the way. I will not install until late July since my car is in California and I am in Germany.

I'll pretty much know if it is a good deal once mine arrives.

Several B6 A4s and a few B6 S4s as well. Some were Euro spec and some were US/NA spec units, but they look awesome and installations sounds pretty straight forward!

Sorry to be so wishy washy about it.. I'm prepared to spend the $1500 but I really want some feedback first. All the other installs I've seen look great and seem pretty simple, but they're to the tune of $3500.

$1500 vs. $3500... It seems "too good to be true"

I feel like I'm missing something...

I think part of the difference is that it is Euro vs. US-spec, but also that US dealers are gouging the shit out of these units. Don't be afraid of the install...def plug and play w/ plenty of "how to's" available online.
