How to get condensation out of my headlights

I just want the water out of there no point in resealing or reaching because summer is almost here it's been raining a couple days and water got in any advice? And how do I get the yellow off sand it down and glass coat it?

I saw a product at Walgreens for $9 last week saying it removes condensation. We just need to apply it to the outer glass and it will bring back original shine.

I never tried this product. maybe you can check it..:)

how do i put a tea bag in it? is there a little hole to shove the tbag in it? how would you be able to get it back out? and woolveren is that to shine the headlight or to take out the condensation?

Depending on the level of condensation desiccant packets would be able to help out. (the kind you get when you buy new shoes)

if it were me id probably just throw them in the oven. not turned on of course, unless you have one that goes down to lik 150 or so. just try to dry them up before hand and pop them in the oven over night. with the light bulbs out, he oven should take the moisture out. its how my mom dries lots of things like pumpkin seeds and stuff

edit: i jus had an idea. instead of a tea bag ry one of those packets of things that come with beef jerky. that way you can eat the beef jerky and watch your headlights dry out

Removal of headlights is simple. The two torx screws on top on the on on the aide that's hard to get at. If you can't find it take the top two out first and wiggle the light till you figure out where the third is. You'll need an extension to get down there. Its tough to get back in. I usually find something sticky and put it in the screw to hold it to the bit.

I used a hair dryer. Once you remove the headlight and both bulbs, keep blowing until the condensation goes away. Swap from one bulb hole to the other to get more exposure. Once all the water drys up, make sure to let it sit until it cools and reaches room temperature. If you reinstall a warm headlight on a cold night, condensation may build up again. Good luck.

I Drove my car on high beam for 2 day and it got rid if it. Mine was a a bit less severe than yours.

Removal of headlights is simple. The two torx screws on top on the on on the aide that's hard to get at. The third lower headlight screw is not removed all the way. Just loosen enough to slide the headlight out toward the front after removing the two upper screws and the harness connector.

If there is a leak allowing water to get into the headlights, you must reseal the lens to housing joint with RTV silicone sealant, or where ever the leak/s are at. If liquid water is accumulating in the bottom of the headlight, the headlight will stay fogged with condensation on the inside surface of the lens continuously, since the water pooled in the bottom of the housing provides the moisture to constantly re-fog the lens.
With water inside, remove the lamps, and rotate the housing around until you see water leaking OUT of the housing. Silicone seal that leak, and any others found.

To clean the film and contamination from the inside lens surface, and the projector optics, pour about 2 cups of distilled clear ammonia into the headlght. Agitate the headlight housing to wash the inside of the lens, and projector optics, then pour the ammonia out of the housing. Next, pour a couple of cups of DISTILLED water into the headlight and agitate to rinse the inside of the headlight. Pour out the water, then repeat the rinse again. Allow the remaining water to drip out of the housing. Next, use a hair dryer to completely dry the inside of the housing.

Next, use 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper and gently wet sand the lens exterior surface to remove oxidized plastic from the lens surface. Then polish the lens using auto body paint rubbing compound, then paint polish or plastic polish, powered by elbow grease to restore the lens to a like new condition. A drill motor powered buffing wheel will speed this up, but you must not buff to deep and remove the suface layer of UV protected lens material. Continue until the lens is clear and the lens surface is smooth and bright. It is not practically possible to remove all of the stone pits in the lens surface, so don't try to do that. After polishing the lens, use some paste wax and wax the lens surface, and final buff with a clean terry towel or similar.

You should deal with the problem once and for all, or next fall/winter, or when washing the car, the condensation will happen again.

well me and my dad wet sanded them and buffed them right after. It worked pretty good, made them look like new again, just make sure you pick a light sheet of sand paper, nothing rough or you'll scratch them.

Alright thanks what torx number is to remove the headlights? And the original rubber seal is cracked and broken on both headlights and mmmm anybody in sac wanna lend a hand?
