    which chip APR vs Revo

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I know its been talked about a lot already, but i don't think i have seen a distint argument about these two for the B7. I know the APR and REVO are very similar, but which one would be better? I am looking at getting almost all programs with which ever company i go with. So which one is best for me? TIA

Yeah, I heard the same thing. I cant wait bc I heard they might even post full before and after logs of engine operating parameters and even include dyno logs. That would be sweet! cheers! Mike

I'm happy with GIAC that I got flashed a few days ago at STaSIS. They have APR and GIAC and I went with GIAC, which tells you something. Thats all I'm going to say!

Nice to see some one running GIAC. There should be some good testing coming up in the future. Do you have vag com? It would be good to see if you could log 20 and 115 together, 2 and 106 together, and 31 and 34 together. Would be good to start getting some data on that program since we havent seen any yet. cheers! Mike

So far I've had both APR and Neuspeed. Running the Neuspeed at the moment and it is damn impressive! Will post dyno numbers in a few days, will do the same when I test APR's newest program which should be making even more power than the first prgram I tested.

All I can say about the Neuspeed right now is we saw gains of 20-30 horsepower in the 3rd gear pulls, and of course gobs and gobs of torque! And all for only $499!

But yeah, no need for a versus. Go with the closest shop, the one you feel most comfortable with. Can't really go wrong with any major software co. these days.

Can you post some Vag logs? 2-106, 31-34, and 20-115. I am curious to see what has changed with Neuspeed. If you dont want to post them would you please email them to me. [email protected]

ill be honest...its most proabaly the same stuff...to me, its all about who can give me the better deal...price wise, i doubt youll be able to notice the minimal power difference between the two......

    just my two cents...

From what I have seen the different companies go about things a little different. They make power by changing different things. There maybe one company that is more conservative than another. I just like to see the logs and see what parameters have changed.

I would be interested in seeing dyno charts also, but the vag would have been nice. If I was not so far away I would log it for you. Oh well I look forward to seeing the dyno charts.

I got my 2.0T flased with APR about two weeks ago and i couldn't be happier. The torque difference is absolutely insane. I went with APR over the competitors because they were so friendly when I talked to them and they really explained a lot of technical stuff to me. Great company and a great product. Not that REVO and GIAC aren't great, I just did a lot of research on all of them and, imo, APR came out on top.
What should i get? Ibis B7 Avant? Ibis B8 sedan?
