Google Earth map is being restarted

Sometime last week, I started getting this restart message every time I try to launch my Nav/maps with the Google Earth overlay.
My 3G data is fine, maps with the standard display work fine, and I’ve also reset my MMI, but it just seems to be stuck in this endless restarting loop when I try to use my google earth overlay.

Has anyone else had this issue before and know how to resolve this?

Google is updating their servers to work with older systems. There's a thread on audiworld regarding it. They were supposed to be done by Monday but apparently they're not
