I am creating this as I go, If you are a tech and know any of this information to be outright wrong please PM so that I don't spread misinformation thanks!


Official VW/Audi TSB'sRelated to Troubleshooting Parasitic/Static Draw & Battery Drain Issues:

These TSB are dependent upon which BEM module (J376) you have installed in your car.

Battery Diagnostic Module (Ground Cable + Module J367)
WARNING: I am still working this all out.

Part #12 is the BDM Cable/Module



BDM ==> Battery Control Module J367 ==> Audi P/N

• Looks like 8K0915181B is for B8 A4
• Looks like 8K0915181C is for A5
• Looks like 8K0915181E is for A4 Hybrid? 7L7/7L1 PR Codes

VCDS Related Battery Operations:

Enabling the Battery Meter via Green Menu:

Warning: This has been removed as of B8.5 as the gauge is really inaccurate!

Enabling the Battery Meter via VCDS:
Concerty/Symphony Non-MMI:

1. Select STG 56 (Radio)
2. STG adjustment -> function 10
3. Channel 39
4. Increase value by +16

Measure your Battery via VCDS:

19-CAN gateway > Measuring Blocks > Groups 18,19 and 20
and compare to the battery percentage shown by MMI {if equipped}

19-CAN Gateway _> Long Adaptation -> Channel 4 -> Battery identification
