Got them from Pure Motorsports, Mike is great! I called Mike Wednesday afternoon but he doesnt have it in stock, and he got all of them in one day and shipped to me the day after! extremely fast shipping and customer service (btw got them the following monday).

    Upper forward arms - $89.95ea x 2

    Upper rearward arms - $94.95ea x 2

    Lower forward arms - $89.95ea x 2

    Lower rearward arms - $79.95ea x 2

I have stfa, alot of ppl saying just need to replace upper or the one with torn boot, the fact is lower arms are almost next to impossible to do visual inspection like upper, I suggest when you replace upper do lower at the same time!

I have 104k miles on mine and they are original, the lower arms were so beat up, every worst then upper!

anyhow, it is all good now!

your calculation is wrong, details as follow:

    Upper forward arms - $89.95ea x 2

    Upper rearward arms - $94.95ea x 2

    Lower forward arms - $89.95ea x 2

    Lower rearward arms - $79.95ea x 2

    $89.95+$89.95+$94.95+$94.95+$89.95+$89.95+$79.95+$ 79.95=$709.60

Im thinking about changing my whole suspension soon as well. This is just for the front correct? What about the rear of the car? What has to be changed there?

i dont see why they would use different materials. the stock control arms are already alluminum. there isnt really a better thing to practically make them out of.

did you pay $709 for all the control arms? was there no kit available? i got all of that stuff plus tie rod ends, sway bar links and all new bolts for $530 from purems about a year ago. I went with the Febi Bilstien kit too. I found it to be very high quality. My old control arms were shot, but to be honest, I didnt really notice much of a difference other then the lack of noise.

ECS kit is for 4 lower arms @ $429/$459.95 then they sell the uppers individually for $122.95. Total withOUT hardware would be $920.80-$951.75 for all 8 arms.

The control arms for the S4 are slightly different than the A4 in certain ways.

Meyle sells a control arm kit for both the A4 and S4 up to November of 2000, here is the part number:

116 050 0029/HD - This is the B5 A4/S4 kit that includes: all 8 arms, both stabilizer links, both tie rod ends and all the hardware you'll need for the job.

    http://www.meyle.com/Home/reference....fno=1160500029

I called ECS to see what was going on with their kits. Here's the lowdown:

They sell a 10-piece kit and a 12-piece kit. The 10-piece kit includes the tie rods and no stabilizer links. The 10-piece kit is only for the A4, so don't bother with it.

The 12-piece kit includes all 8 arms, the tie rod ends and the stabilizer links. This kit is Meyle part number: 1160500029/HD.

Remember, you can ONLY use this 12-piece kit on an S4 up to November 2000 build date, or VIN#8D-Y-080000.

Any cars after that would have to use the separate upper and lower arm kits.
