I don't but they all know me by first name at my local dealer, or you can PM Dan_G on here. He works at a Audi Dealer.

You may have heard about Audi's involvement in Camp allroad this year. Here's the result:

It was an awesome event, and I was lucky enough to be one of the featured cars:

The rest of the individual videos can be seen on Audi's youtube channels, and will be all over your social media feeds pretty soon:

For those of you with coilovers, I have a question about the ratio of perch adjustment to fender to ground change.

I've been battling with my coilovers for months. I'm in kW Variant 1s. The rears never sat high enough, so I've been working with KW to find another solution. I've tried different springs, didn't work. Went back to the original springs and installed 30mm spring spacers. This seems to be the solution. Anyhow, with all the equipment changing and waiting for springs to settle, I haven't been able to get consistent numbers with respect to how much adjustment gives how much effect.

Does anyone have this figured out? I don't want to sound lazy, but I've pulled this suspension out of my car so many times now. I'd really like to not have to do it any more times than absolutely necessary from now on.

How to make your splash screen say A4 Allroad:

    1) If you have the hidden menu enabled, access it by pressing the menu and car buttons and releasing them at the same time.
    2) Scroll to car and select it.
    3) then select carcodingvehicle
    4) select No of Screen and change it to 16.
    5) Reset the MMI

If you do not have the hidden menu enabled follow the directions below with vag-com and then do the steps above

    change 0 to 1

Thanks to Killerboots for posting the pic to IG and avantagg who did it, to let me know this was possible.

Aftermarket Wheel question, what are your thoughts on 20x10 vs 20x10.5?

I really want to stick with 10.5 but I keep finding a number of wheels I like only being offered in 20x10. Any of you have similar issues? And which way did you go and why?

I had 20x10.5 ET25 BBS CH-R on my black allroad. No spacers. 255/35/20 Michelin PSS:

I currently have 20x10 ET30 Vorsteiner VFF-104 on my blue allroad. 5mm spacers in rear, no spacers in front. 255/35/20 Hankook Ventus V12 evo2:

I feel like ~ET25 is the sweet spot for wheels on the B8.5 allroad. 1/2 inch difference in wheel width isn't going to make a huge visual difference. I would have loved to go with 10.5" wheels, but feel that my current 10" setup looks just as good with a little bit of spacing. If I still have this car in the spring, I'm going to try some 3 or 5mm spacers up front.

Agreed, ET25 is definitley what I am aiming to hit. Ironically enough Vorsteiner are some of the 20x10's I was looking into as was I with BBS at 20x10.5.

I concur on ET25 being the sweet spot for 10" wheels for the allroad. I went to ET20 with a set of BC Racing wheels and ended up with rubbing in the front. It wasn't horrible rubbing, only on deep compressions. FWIW the rubbing was due to a single bolt at the top of the wheel arch. I've since switched the VFF-104 Vorsteiners ET25 (graphite) as dropshadow has (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!) and absolutely love them. I don't have spacers as dropshadow does though.

One note re: the Vorsteiners, I recently nailed a pothole here in Seattle and bent a wheel. Can't say that it wouldn't have happened to any wheel in the same situation. Also put a hole in the sidewall of the tire. I was able to order a replacement from Vosteiner so all is good there. Also Washington has a claims process for getting the state to pay. I figure that is a long shot but worth a try...

I went with 20x10 25 offset and have some slight rubbing under really hard compression in the rear with 26.5 FTG, are you guys trimming the plastic arches at all ?

I ran 5mm spacers on my 20x10 to push them to et25 and was rubbing in the rear with 275/30/20 PSS tires at FTG 26in. I am back at et30 with slight trim of the rear arches and get slight rubbing only on hard compressions.

My alignment is close to factory, no custom spec.

I use to run 265/30/20 PSS tires with no rubbing at FTG 24.8in static

I get some rubbing on full compression, but not enough to make me want to raise the car. I don't really even notice anymore.

You all have me nervous now. I was going to do the PSS10/Stern combo after tax return season. Was going to try onelove's dimensions (26.5 ftg). I can't decide between AG M590's at 20x10 et 25 and Vossen VFS-6 at 20x10.5 et 30 with 275/30 DSW06's. I don't ever plan to track the car or want to do sway bars and really firm settings on the PSS10's to not rub. I just want the car to look like how Audi should have done it from the start. Lower with really classy wheels. Not sure now if the AG's or Vossen will be strong enough for rough railroads, pot holes, etc. with such low profile tires.

Anyone that has changed out their front grill to a plateless version, do you have any tips for clipping in the bottom four clips back into the new grill?

To get the old grill out I cut the part that holds the tab in place. I've tried using dish soap as lube, lots of pressure, etc. the tabs just won't clip in place. There doesn't appear to be anything in the way.

It's been a long time but I remember having to push *REALLY* hard to seat the new one into place. In fact, I remember being so pumped once I had it installed. My buddy and I pushed from opposite sides to complete the task. You'll hear each of the tabs let out an audible "click" once in. Don't feel bad about the tabs on your old grille... no one has been able to safely remove it without annihilating the tabs in some way. The Audi engineers are still having a good laugh about that.

Got it in!!! Thanks, I feel better knowing others struggled as well. While searching I didn't see anyone else mention the difficulty. I placed a small block of wood on the front bumper plastic and another right above the tab on the back then used a c-clamp to push the tabs in most of the way. To finally get them to clip in I warmed them up with a heat gun on low (it's 20 degrees here) and pushed from both sides with all my might. The first audible click was so satisfying.

1 hour to remove the bumper (first time), 3 hours messing with the stupid tabs and absurd amount of screws holding the grill in place, 15 minutes to reinstall the bumper, and 5 minutes to pull the fender liner screws because I forgot to plug the fog lights back in. The end result was certainly worth it!

Do you mean lock the hatch so it doesn't open when you unlock the doors, or do you mean physically lock the car while standing behind the hatch?

If the former, there are settings in the MMI that control the hatch lock. I think you can tell it to only unlock the hatch if you use the handle or the key fob. If the latter, then no, there's no button on the rear of the car to lock it.

I meant physically lock the car from the hatch. I thought I read it somewhere but must of been something else. Thanks

Heads up: @kdaffy is organizing a group buy for the A4/allroad load rail system.

Kind of a silly thing, but this is something I've wanted to do for a really long time and had pretty much given up after striking out a few times with International sellers. At one point these could be ordered from dealers in the USA but have since been discontinued.

Tracking down parts is half the fun too!

This is much more functional than the mesh net which I've been using.

The aluminum telescopic retainer can be moved back, forth and diagonally. Same for the retaining band but can also be placed so both feet are on one side to hold a box in place, etc.

I'm going to eventually trim out the sides of the OEM trunk liner so I can continue using that as well. Hopefully that works out!

It seems like this is something the US just didn't get. My Canadian Allroad has this option from the factory.

Does anyone know how hard it is to remove the from underrun part # 8K0807733? Is it as easy as just removing the belly pan and then the underrun comes off?

I wonder how hard would it be to retrofit this into a B6 avant (or do they have one for the B6/B7 already)..the design of the trunk area is very similar

Similar, but smaller in almost every dimension. It might be too long to fit without some modification.

If you have the hatch open and you lock the car, it will 'prepare' to be locked (mirrors fold, I think the cabin lights off, etc) and then once the hatch is closed, it will 'finish' locking and beep.
Thats what I do when I'm unloading. Lock, unload, then press the hatch close button and walk away.

Does anyone know if the 13-16 allroad premium plus's had the driver assistance option available? Or was that and adaptive cruise only available for the prestige?

Drive Select? I've only ever seen it on Prestige models.
