Jerry actually has a nice setup for sale in the classifieds for the 3.0tdi. I ran with a 3.0 IC for about 6 months.. have since switched over to the pwrhaus fmic.

I think shaunm82 has the pwrhaus and had the 3.0TDI before that.

It is def a nice upgrade over the stock unit. For the price, about $150 you certainly can't go wrong with it..even better deal if you talk with Jerry about his.

Do you still have the stock piping?

No, it is basically a bolt on. Might take a little elbow grease to get over the 3.0 inlet/outlet but would work with the stock hoses.

It's a pretty good upgrade for the price, but just like mentioned before it's a PITA to get the hoses on

Eurocode and CTS have a silicone kits, I used my stock hoses since from my research they didn't really do anything significant. I did buy eurocodes high flow intercooler pipe though, made it a bit smoother when boosting

I hate to be the stick in the mud on the 3.0 tdi IC, but if you plan on going more boost you may want to get a larger IC like the BFI or CTS. I have done gobs of research as I plan on going K04 and won't go less then the BFI product. If you need piping kit you may look at the CTS IC. If you stay at the same power levels you should ve fine with the 3.0 tdi IC and the stock piping. But everyone has there own opnion. Just my $0.02, take it as you will.

The stock 2.0 b8 IC looks the same as the one on ebay. What is the real difference?

    BUY ALL THE SILICONE HOSES!!!!

Or, don't and use the stock ones and get nearly the same effect as the intercooler pipe sound box delete for $4 by just removing the sound box yourself and capping the hole. You can also buy a nice universal intercooler for around $250 and some adapter piping and be fully converted for around $300. I don't really think a $1500 intercooler kit is going to show any significant benefit over what I am running and cost me $180. The stock IC is tiny and super light, so there must not be much material in there for cooling.

    Two of these

    These by two as well
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/251869198473...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

And something like one of these two and some inventive brackets for mounting. Hurricane deck brackets work well. I got my TR8 for $90, but had a lucky find. Also, I have never had a hose pop off while driving....

Not huge but great for the money especially if you are going to stick with the stock turbo.

    Thanks man!

Did you ever need any other parts? I read your thread but kind of got lost with everyone else's responses. If I just purchased the intercooler, would I be set? Or do I need to purchase other clamps or hoses?

You can use the stock hoses, if you want. People have before. They've also paired them with the Eurocode or CTS kit as well, but not necessary.
