I second the look of led kit from them. They are white and bright. The two for the dome are actually too bright for my taste so I turned them to face up instead.

That's actually a good idea. These are very bright.

So far I really like it, but if I ever feel they're too bright I will use your idea of turning them upwards

I have some free time so I figured id post all of the maintenance that I've done so far

First thing I did when I bought the car was take it to EuroTech Motorsports in Mahwah, NJ to make sure it was fully up to date and as solid as possible.

5/12/14 - 82,822 miles

N80 purge valve
New wiper blades
Driver door master window switch
Cam follower
Timing belt and water pump
Serpentine belt and rollers/tensioner
Coolant flush with new coolant
Spark plugs
Air filter
Cabin filter
Complete Oil change (synthetic)
New belly pan and hardware (the car didn't have one )
New motor mounts (both sides)
New OEM battery
New rear caliper
Replaced rear brakes (rotors, pads and fluid)

5/19/14 - similar mileage as above

Driver side window regulator

10/31/14 - 87,999 miles

Coolant flange and coolant
Complete oil change (synthetic)
Fuel filter
Cam chain and tensioner w/ associated gaskets
Coil packs

1/8/15 - 89,412 miles

Oil filter housing
Oil filter housing adapter
Complete oil change (synthetic)

4/16/15 - 91,191 miles

Front sway bar end links
Front lower control arms

Installed some license plate LEDs. Don't mind how filthy my trunk is. I'll be getting a full detail in the coming month. Just waiting for the unpredictable weather to stabilize.

AND SERIOUSLY, our weather is ridiculous. Did you get that random snow fall today too? I can't believe we went from 80 a week ago to 43 degrees right now smfh.

Thanks. I got these from USP Motorsports when I bought the interior LED kit. They are super bright with no errors as well.

We didn't get any snow up here but there was some heavy winds and rain at one point. Totally nuts. Im so sick of this weather.

Thanks to a forum member here I was able to purchase a Symphony II+ with adapter for a fair price. (Thats what was in the priority mail box in the post above

)

Adam's polishes, etc. are awesome. Nice thing for me is that his shop is about 10 minutes from where I work.

I'm glad you're happy with the new head unit, that's great, but I don't think I'll understand people going with an OEM unit when you can get so much more functionality from an aftermarket. If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters I guess.

I am very curious to see how your 3M covering works out for you. After 5 years, I may do this to my B7...

Yup love adams stuff. My buddy @Mops@SupremePower introduced me to their products and Ive been very happy.

As for the head unit, I had originally thought of going aftermarket but I don't like how any of them look. I really want to stay as OEM as possible and right now the RNSE isn't for me, so that only leaves the Symphony II+. I honestly do like the way it looks a lot. It just comes down to personal preference I guess. "One mans trash is another mans treasure" definitely applies here

Got the email that my vinyl order shipped today. I probably won't tackle it right away though but I will try and get it done ASAP. It will also be my first attempt at wrapping anything so I might screw it up and scrap the project too haha. I will definitely keep this thread updated though.

The II+ does the job for me too. If I went RNS-E, I'd want to change the instrument cluster to have a color DIS, because I'm OCD like that. Either way, looks good! I'll be keeping tabs on this thread for how the wrap turns out...I'll be ordering up some samples in May to see how the wrap looks/feels.

Damn, I need to start working. This car is bleeding me dry...July needs to get here.

What were the prices for RNSE that pushed you away? I mean personally I find them outdated and would go aftermarket, but even with my super super old dension i get tired of my II+. I need to pull the radio and add the aux cable (only has 30 pin ipod connector). I can grab RNSE around here for $250, but id rather go aftermarket honestly. RNSE just looks so clean.

I have autohaas 2 towns away. They had like 4 or 5 RNSEs they were doing a special for 250, and if it was shipped it was free shipping. I just didnt wanna drop money on the RNSE. They had em for like 2-3 weeks before they all sold. They do specials on em all the time.

Piano black is awesome. I wouldn't change it if I were you.

As for the RNSE, it wasn't the prices that steered me away(I've already put about $8k into this car to date), I've just heard it wasn't that great, and I didn't want to take a gamble on whether or not I would like it.
I mean it would be cool to add a rear view camera with it, but it's not something that I need to do right now.

The symphony II+ works perfectly with my OEM satellite and the aftermarket Audiovox ipod & auxiliary connector that I have installed.
I love the look and match of the bigger red screen and all I really wanted to do was ditch the stupid tape player.

Edit: I will say that $250 for an RNSE is a great deal tho!

Haha I hear you man. The color cluster is definitely on my list of things to do. And thanks!

Samples are your best bet. I think we spoke about it, but you get to see how the vinyl feels and stretches first hand. Then it's much easier to make a choice.

I was actually dead set on the brushed black metallic until I put it on the trim next to the brushed steel. That's when I realized that I liked the steel so much better.

I ditched the Symphony II for a Pioneer AppRadio 2 and have it connected up to my Galaxy S5 to mirror my screen. It's not OEM fit & finish, but find me an RNSE that can play Netflix, pull up email, or search Craigslist. To each their own, but for the $$ invested I could never go RNSE; too much coin for too little functionality for me.

Congrats on the new steering wheel. I don't have the Sline badge or red stitching, but the mix of plain & air leather is the same as mine and I love the feel of it.

I may have to order some samples myself and try them out. I'll still be checking this thread to see your results.

That's exactly like my wheel. Personally I prefer it over the Sline wheel - the fewer the badges, the better as far as I'm concerned, but the stitching is a nice detail.

Interior trim wrap starts tonight!

First I cleaned all the pieces with water then went over them with rapid prep and rapid tac. I popped the Quattro badge off so I can get a cleaner wrap in there.

Here's a custom cutting board that I fashioned out of one of those office chair floor cover things. Friggin thing cost me $50 :(
