    USP intake users?

I have just received my USP intake in a bit of an impulse buy due to the recent sale.

I am about to install and seems pretty straightforward...
-Anyone run into any issues or things to be wary of during the install?

-Also anyone have any thoughts or reviews on how it performed for them?
I know many say it will be like the Roc Euro, but I couldn't find any reviews on the USP specifically.

    Thanks in advance!

Install was very straight forward only thing I was unaware of was the fact that you need to actually drill into the car with the self tapping screws. I had thought it was 100% bolt on like the Roc Euro or Injen intake. Nonetheless still a good intake!

What exactly are you drilling into with the self tapping screws?

It is not the most beautiful intake in the world but it sounds great and overall I am very happy with mine.

The bottom of the heat shield screws into the frame rail (?) instead of using the grommets that the stock airbox uses. See Akrion's photo - you can see one of the stock grommet holes and a tab for the USP heat shield - there is a self tapping screw right there in the center of the black tab.

Your install seems to have the same gap around the intake tube and heat shield as mine did before I added a filler panel. I thought maybe it was a B8 vs. B8.5 thing or maybe S4 vs S5... guess not. I feel a little better - USP told me it was just a matter of rotating the intake tube, but everything I did seemed to make it worse someplace else.

Just did the install with a mechanic buddy of mine and it sounds great!!! The perfect loudness, not obnoxious but audible.

The difference in throttle response is def there as well. Any louder and I don't think I would enjoy it. Good stuff USP!
