I only saw the first post until today, and to be honest I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out with the Havana Black. I didn't give you enough credit, as this thing looks awesome with the full paint, wheel color combo, and suspension.

Thanks, the wheels were ordered the day the car was, took 6 months for the Exclusive build from Audi. Everyone at the shop had the same sentiment. I think it works.

How involved was the roof rail install? Did you have to drop the headliner? I'm entertaining this for my AR... Looks amazing. Most comprehensive AR build I've seen in the US to date.

Thanks, I must admit I was tired of all the hype over "air ride and vinyl" and wanted something different.
Complete headliner, a,b,c,d pillars all come down. Its not for the light at heart. It took us 3 hours. If you never done a headliner in a car expect at least 5-6 hours to complete. Everything is 100% the same, no holes are modified during installation.

Thanks for the heads up on the headliner. I replaced one in my C5...and...NEVER AGAIN for DIY!!! Hmmmmm.... I wonder if a dealer would only charge me for 3-hrs. It would be worth it to me....

Id probably say more closer to 6 hours. Its super easy. Time consuming but easy. Headliner shell isn't removed, just lowered. Be careful with seat belts, and make sure all tools are spotless clean. My car was probably a little more difficult only because of the rear thorax air bags.
Ill post a pic this morning of the interior with pillars removed.

Saw this in person tonight at the in n out meet. Super clean and this is definitely how I would make it look. I drove the Triumph not my Avant.

Yup, ordered first week back in October, arrived end of March. 4 weeks ago today. Even with buying the R8 over Xmas to tide me over, the wait was a miserable amount of time.

Goddamn, that is such a great looking car. I hope I can keep my current avant on the road for another 5+ years, these new allroads will definitely be the next model I buy.

Curiously I saw 5 new allroads on my drive home today in about a 10 mile trip. You know, it may just be that locally the PacNW loves wagons, but seeing so many of these new allroads around town really makes me question AoA's reasons for not bring more avants to the states. I have seen, by far, more new allroads around locally than Q5's and Q7's combined. Hell, I've seen more of these new allroads than I have of the new A4's.
