It's on demand. Flip a switch to go from quiet to not quiet. It energizes/de-energizes a solenoid valve in the exhaust plumbing thereby routing the exhaust gases through a more or less muffled pathway.

Nice, I was expecting some kind of automatic solution but in all honesty a flip of the switch sounds better for anyone who would be in the market for this (enthusiast)

This system has a control module that ties into the vehicle's CAN bus system. The valves open and close at programmable RPM points. There is also a manual operation switch that gets mounted in the cockpit.

Don't want to hate on something that hasn't been released, but the odds are high that this will be much more expensive to purchase and to install compared to other exhausts on the market. They will have to price it aggressively to get people to go away from the miltek non-res instead.

Sort of what I'm expecting as I think exhaust systems are already pretty pricey, but I'm gonna wait and see.

Definitely a silver lining, I'm not expecting this system to be cheaper than $3.5k, and that's a pretty ignorant guess (could be way more). Especially with the programmable interface doing the control that talks with CAN or obd2.

Glad I haven't pulled the trigger on an exhaust yet (let alone get the car delivered). I've debated the milltek res, but this is basically going to negate the debate. Best if both worlds!

This sounds like the AWE exhaust to me... I was hoping/expecting it to have a similar tone to the current Milltek exhaust but it doesn't at all... Disappointing IMO.

Almost my thoughts exactly... Excited to see a few more videos to see if the sound is the deep throaty sound like the current ones being offered.

Is it possible to upgrade the old systems with the valvetronic bypass/mufflers?

Not sure if I like the sound or not. I'm on my lap top so hard to tell... I'm guessing that was with the valve open? What warranty will you have on the solenoid? My experience with solenoids in old British cars was a lot of sticking - I'm sure they are better these days - but given now you have powered moving parts in the exhaust I'd be curious what warranty would be on that.

Otherwise - love new development! Keep up the good work!

I heard this video and went ahead and purchased the non-res polished quad tips anyways. This doesn't sound nearly as deep and rich as the sound I first heard when someone recommended Milltek.

"Jeff Foxworth and the gang" are competent enough to tune his ECU but can't be trusted to craft a quality exhaust... makes sense.

They will have to price very aggressively. To my knowledge, there is already 2 valvesonic exhaust supplier, Capristo and Armytrix. Capristo is 4800—5200 whereas Armytrix is 3500—3900. Hopefully milltek will sound better than their competitors. When will this be released?
