    That's the code that gets thrown by not having a bladder in the passenger seat. Exact same numbers. I'm not sure why it said drivers side though, because the driver's side does not have a bladder. I tore my stock seats apart after doing my swap because I wanted to swap the heating elements to the Recaros. I never got the heating elements swapped though, but I can tell you for sure that there is no bladder in the driver's seat. on a B7. Have you verified that the passenger side has a bladder?

    Yeah thats strange to me. I would just double check to make sure everything is plugged in properly under the seat.

    And, did you swap the bladder on the passenger side? Sorry, just want to definitely rule that out.

    Bladder swap is only needed for B6 Recaros. B7 Recaros should be plug and play. If yours came from a B6, do the swap. If they came from a B7, check all connections and make sure the bladder elbow isn't pinched.

    Re: Help With seat code.

    They are B7. Bladder is there in the pass seat. Cleared the code, but came back instantly.
    Code is for driver side . but G128 seems to be for passenger side when searching the web.
    I am confused.

    Follow the vag com reprogram on nicks car blog, you have to recode for the new seats because your car won't recognize the new bladder in the passenger seat because its not the original one from your car, had this happen when I did b7 rs4 recaro's. nicks car blog shows you exactly how to recode so the computer learns the new bladder. Just google nicks car blog b6 recaro swap and at the end of it he goes through step by step vag com recode

    its going to suck, but I would pull out each seat and look over all the wires and connectors. MAybe one was pinched, or a wire came loose inside one of the connectors.

    Also, did you try to disconnect the battery for a little while? When I swapped in mine, I remember reading that you should disconnect the battery before removing the plug for the airbag to avoid having to reset the airbag light. If I remember correctly (and I will try to find the info to back it up) you may have to run an adaptation to remove the airbag light rather than just clearing the code.

    Re: Help With seat code.

    Yes, battery was disconnected. It's my third set of Recaro, i had B6 that i swap the pass sensor before.
    Car might not recognized the new bladder, but the code is for driver side.
    I guess i'll have to remove the driver seat and check the wiring. I'll try to recode tonight too. I cant recalibrate with my v-checker, but i can recode.

    Well, i tried to recode the airbag module. Coding i had was 0033607
    with this chart from VCDS
    Coding

    0?3xxxx: Battery Seperating
    0 = without Battery Seperating
    4 = with Battery Seperating (4.2l V8 only / PR-TK7)
    0x3?xxx: Options'
    0 = with/without Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P0/9P1)
    1 = Passenger Airbag with Key Switch / Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P0/9P1)
    2 = Passenger Airbag with Seat Occupation Detection / Belt Warning (PR-4UB+9P5)
    3 = with Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P3) OR Passenger Airbag with Seat Occupation Detection / Belt Warning (PR-4UB+9P3)
    4 = Passenger Airbag with Key Switch / Belt Warning (PR-4UF+9P3)
    0x3x?xx: Side Airbags
    6 = Front Side Airbags with Head Airbags (PR-4X3)
    7 = Front & Rear Side Airbags with Head Airbags (PR-4X4)
    0x3xx?x: Belt Inquiry
    0 = North America (USA/Canada) OR Rest of World (RoW): without Belt Inquiry (PR-9P0)
    1 = Rest of World (RoW): Belt Inquiry Driver's Side (PR-9P1)
    2 = Rest of World (RoW): Belt Inquiry Driver's & Passenger Side (PR-9P3)
    0x3xxx?: Belt Tensioner
    2 = Rest of World (RoW): Front Belt Tensioner
    2 = Rest of World (RoW) & Belt Inquiry (PR-9P1): Front & Rear Belt Tensioner
    7 = Rest of World (RoW) & Belt Inquiry (PR-9P0/9P3): Front & Rear Belt Tensioner
    7 = North America (USA/Canada)

    I changed the 4th number. I tried 4,3 and 0.
    with the "0"(with/without Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P0/9P1)) it is working . Error and airbag light are gone
    BUT, will my airbag deploy in a crash??? does my passenger airbag still active when i have a passenger?

    I have read on a french forum that Recaro (F1 seats they call them) dont have the seat occupancy sender that normal seats have. But that might be Europe only.
    Anybody knows how or where and which value to check to see if the airbag is active and if it activate when a driver/ passenger is sitting in the seat?

    Your airbags are fine now, if they wernt the light would still be on, European cars do not have an occupancy sensor

    Just to make sure, seats and car are not Euro.

    So, now the airbags are activated by the belt buckle?

    They are activated by the pressure late on pass side, the with/without means its active even without the seatbelt hooked up, the code made your car learn it has a new pressure plate. Check to see if when the car is on the passenger airbag on light is always illuminated or only when your sitting in the passenger side. That will tell you if the coding is right, but the system is so sensitive if it wasn't right the airbag light would still be on

    Edit: the 7 on the end of the code lets you know it's US spec

    Thank you, i hope you're right. Kinda stuff you dont want to mess up.
    BTW, i dont have a passenger airbag light above the radio next to the cup holder. In Canada we dont have those. No way to tell if passenger airbag is ON.

    Your good to go then, I wouldn't stress it, the light would be on if there was a problem

    Edit: had a second thought, I forgot your in Canada, there is a chance Canadian cars do not have the occupancy sensor and if you have us spec seats that could have been the problem, which the recoding to the seat belt could have corrected the issue by telling the car it doesn't need occupancy sensor and to relay the pass airbag always on even if the seatbelt is not buckled, either way your fine it was just an after thought
