    The team at Eurocode Tuning would like to introduce our Air Intake System featuring our TRUFit technology. Our TAIS includes our TRUFit 6 ply, wire reinforced throttle body inlet hose and our own proprietary double layered cotton-gauze dual cone air filter.

    The factory air box on the B8 S5/S5 3.0T is a wonderful product, not only does it draw cold air in from the front of the vehicle, it also provides excellent insulation from the heat that is found in the engine bay. As wonderful as it is, there are a few restrictions that reduce the potential for performance, namely the throttle body inlet hose and the disposable paper filtration system.

    To overcome these restrictions, we designed our TRUFIT Air Intake System to replace both the throttle body inlet hose and the paper air filter. Our design team found that the OEM throttle body inlet hose was very restrictive with its accordion like design and integrated sound muffler. We chose to upgrade this hose by building a six ply, smooth interior, wire reinforced silicone hose which is very strong and resistant collapse even under vacuum levels many times greater than it will ever see. Utilizing our TRUFit technology, the hose fits perfectly between the factory air box and throttle body and even uses the OEM clamps to save you money. With the factory air box being very efficient at drawing in air from outside the engine bay, it also draws in an enormous amount of dust and debris. The OEM paper air filter is extremely restrictive and its performance deteriorates very quietly with miles in service. Our TRUFit Drop-in Air Filter has a dual inverted cone design, cotton-gauze synthetic oil filter with extra deep pleats further increasing the filtration surface area.

    Our TRUFit Air Intake System has proven to show as much as a 15HP increase over its OEM counterpart with 12ft/lb of torque and average fuel economy increased nearly 40 miles per tank of fuel [2-3mpg] (under normal driving). Everyone's results will vary depending on their driving style, performance modifications and type of environment they drive in.

    We have opened up an area on the front of the airbox that looks as if it is a place for a cold air inlet that is not being used. It was pretty simple and there is a noticeable increase in sound.

    We do not have any sound clips. We could make some with our cars, however we have headers on them. Maybe some of our current beta testers and customers can chime in. FWIW whenever I hear sound clips on the internet, they never sound the same as in person.

    If you don't want supercharger whine, your best bet would probably be to get a closed system one like AWE S-Flo, rather than an open design like this one or Roc-Euro

    I have this intake with the air box modification. You can hear the supercharger whine more than OEM but much less than the Roc-Euro. It is about the same as the AWE S-Flo.

    No additional brackets or hoses needed, we designed it to work with your existing OEM clamps. We have seen gains as high as 15HP on a Dynapack hub dyno (stock, no upgrades).

    Our product was designed without the need for any additional hoses or brackets. With our TRUFit technology everything is designed to integrate seamlessly with the OEM Air Box. Our TRUFit inlet hose even has small relief cuts in it where there are small clips holding the factory plastic filter adapter (seen in the final image).

    I can post a clip, but I am not sure if Greg did anything to my airbox. It does not sound anything like the Roc-euro to me, not too much whine, just right.

    Your air box was not modified. Everything installed exactly as it is on my S5.

    probably the "flapper" mod that was done in my b6/7 days. its a flap that opens on the front side of the intake box at higher speeds but stays closed when stationary or at slow speed/rpm they probably just removed it

    We did not modify the flap that is present on the OEM air box as it would be a bid no-no (sits right above the exhaust manifold and it opens to ease in very cold weather engine warm up).

    The mod we have performed in house on a few intakes is to open up a small area on be front of the air box that looks as if it is an additional cold air inlet the factory is not using. This area is out of the way of the heat of the motor. There is a noticeable increase of supercharger whine with the modification.

    On another note, we also offer our awesome air filter separately for those who may already have an air intake upgrade or just want the increased performance over the OEM air filter.

    It is not possible to get a CEL. There is no mass air flow sensor. We chose a cotton gauze oiled filter as it will provide superior filtration over any dry filter. It is also washable and reusable saving you money over the long term.

    What I did on mine a few months ago; was to Dremel out the tab in the bottom front of my airbox (kinda the location of the 'flap' from the B7's) and ran a hose down behind my passenger fog light vent.

    At a minimum, just look at the hp numbers of another intake that is very similar. This one is just priced appropriately and has a much better filter design, IMO.

    I've never seen superior filtration claimed before for an aftermarket filter. Did you do a dust load test to confirm?

    Do you have any flow bench data on the system or filter alone?

    Oh, and is the hose well reinforced? I saw some suggestions that 034s hose was collapsing under high load.
