If you're a lucky owner of a 2013 A4/Allroad/S4/A5/S5/RS4/RS5 and have access to a VAG-COM cable many of us would really appreciate your current coding details.

Please include:
- your model
- country
- equipment list...ie. MMI w/ NAV, B&O, single/dual/three zone climate, parking sensors, rear camera etc.
- full Auto-scan output

The question isn't if you can code your car using VcDS, I'm asking if you can please share your current coding and adaptation maps for others to see. They help with retrofitting new equipment and settings.

Bump. I'm sure someone with a 2013 has a VagCom cable. This is how the useful settings that many use get discovered and tested. Please share your current coding.

2013 S5 Prestige, US Spec. Only option added was the sport differential. The soundaktor fuse has been pulled, thus the CAN malfunction. The adaptation map is quite the process, not sure if I'll be able to do it any time soon...

I have an 8.5 climate control panel with protection removed and it works with the new mmi screen just fine. However the long coding seems to be miles out, the fan blower won't change, the a.c. button seems to operate the front demister, the front demister button seems to do nothing, the rear demister works, the recirculation seems to work. Iv tried the coding you are using but it only seems to make it worse, any help you can give?

Sorry Marc, I gave up on the B8.5 climate retrofit.....I played with the coding for quite awhile and had to eventually throw in the towel. Mine (mis)behaved exactly like yours. There is coding to get the overlays to work on the 3Gplus MMI but I don't have it immediately handy. BTW, I replaced my 09 climate module (2G) to a '11 climate module (3G). However, I discovered the above coding after the fact and in the end I'm not quite sure if the hardware swap was actually required for the overlays.

Try Module 17 (instruments) - Byte 1, Bit 6....should be 0.....and I also seem to remember the description in my label file was incorrect....said something completely backwards about 3GMMI being installed/not installed.

Hi cory, I had to remove component protection. Again to put the old climatic back on, I tried coding like you said and all it seemed to do was turn my speedometer off. Any other clue as to what other coding I could try changing?

I checked back and I'm fairly certain that was the coding that did the trick for me.

Can I just check with you, I'm using autologics vag tool and not vag com, does your byte count start at 0 or does it start at 1? And does your bit count start at 0 or 1 just incase I'm coding in the wrong place.

Both start at 0...for instance, needle sweep is byte 1, bit 0

I'll get you the details later today but the coding of my climate control didn't change when I swapped from my original 09 (2G) climate module to the newer module.

Did either of you guys try Address 08: Byte 01, Bit 4 (air-conditioning setting in MMI)? It's noted in the Kufatec manual that comes with their 3g high MMI retrofit cable set. (I just finished the HW portion of the retrofit. Fingers crossed for the component protection and coding portion outstanding).
