I think the part on the left is a piece of Rod... part on the right a piece of piston maybe? lol

piece on the right definitely looks like a piece of the piston but the one on the left looks like maybe a piece of the block but time will tell

It has what seems to be flat sides though... doesn't seem like any part of the block also doesn't seem to be the same material as the block.

Damn man , how much boost are you run ? Spray ? With big turbo and high boost our engine makes crazy amount of TQ .

Everyone asks what it sounded like but it happened so quick lol.
Bear in mind this happened at about 6000rpm in a 3rd gear pull... so by the time I shut it down it was at around 7200 and was less than a second later lol.
All I remember was it went from a very bad "miss" right at 6000 to instant smoke and noise lol.
If the piston was going 20m/s... then it would have traveled the length of the bore in about 4 ms lol.
It was over before I knew it happened.

Yepp stock wrist pins and pistons.
And quite simply if you are going to play with fire at these power levels you better be prepared to break things!

I guess I showed how Mahle Powerpack pistons and rings aren't as strong as many people think.
Further proof that the JE pistons and Steel Wrist pins sitting at home for the 3.0 were the best choice.

...pricing? Always thought there was power left on the table w/ not many really testing a full intake/exhaust cam setup.

From the looks of it the exhaust valves got jammed into the head when this happened, lets hope that was enough to keep the FOD out of it.
