I've seen one pic posted by scotty @ advanced that showed a block cracked @ 700whp. Has anyone else seen it? I don't want everyone on the planet referencing that 1 case and saying oh yea, shits going to blow up. Who has seen it and @ what level? We are talking 2.7, 2.8 or 3.0 blocks, not a VR6. Thanks

I wonder if the the main bolts were tq'd to the proper spec in that case with lube. Might cause residual strains in the bottom end. JW

I've also seen it, block was cracked in the main webbing between cylinders. Was somewhere around 400/450, would need to find the dyno sheets and see if I have any pics of the block. 2.7 block, stock bottom end.

Tuning issue? swallowed some water? I find it hard to believe it was due to mormal stresses seen @ 450 or less with proper fuel and tuning.

The blocks crack in the main web, it's very common. Usually takes 675WTQ+ or very high rpm with detonation.

No issues with the tuning, E85 + lots of meth and 60-70k as a stage 3 car.
