Ekko's 2009 Audi C6/A6 Mod Thread :)

Hi,

Since i found this forum i got a bit addicted to it and to my car which i bought at the beginning of this year, which looked like this then :

2009 Audi A6 ~ 60.000Miles
2.0 TDIe - 138bhp - Common Rail new tech
320 Nm Torque
Multitronic - 7 speed automatic
17'' 5 spoke OEM Audi rims
Stock suspension - comfort
MMI+ 3G Navigation System with 6 CD changer/DVD/2xSDI card
Bose Audio Sound System
S-Line SportSeats

Here are the mods i will do this spring/summer:
S Line original front bumper (installed)
S6 original front grill (ordered)
S6 original plate holding plastic (ordered)
I'm contemplating on weather to keep the S6 badge or substitute with S Line badge.
S Line original front and rear badges (installed)(but ordered new set to redo placement based on the template i got from Evil)
S Line original rear diffusor (looking to order this soon)
I want to know if this will fit my stock rear bar or do i need an S Line bar, does anyone know this?
S Line RS6 18'' 8.5j 66.5 ET45 Rims (installed) (after many hub centric rings :) )
Tint 30% all around (to be installed tuesday - its metallic, i don't know if that's good or bad but i hope it will look good)

And i have some left for next year due to high costs :
MTM 176 PS 129 kW Modified MTM-motronic computer with improved max. torque 390 Nm
So ~40 more bhp and 70Nm which i think its cool!!! And i'll be proud to wear the MTM logo on the back!

Roads in Romania are soooo bad and i'm still contemplating about this, but when i renounce to the idea of installing them i see the pictures on this forum and then i want it again.

Car is looking great, eKKo. As for the S-line rear diffuser; I too was looking at doing that but you would need to replace the entire rear bumper. The S-line rear diffuser will not mate up with a standard rear bumper. I put that project on the shelf due to cost vs. value.

^^^You know, I have seen others do some amazing stuff with 3M Di-Noc. Apparently it lasts indefinately inside the car and up to ~5 years (if I recall correctly) on the outside. While the s-line diffuser might be expensive, maybe a carbon fiber "look" could tide you over? Just a thought as I don't know what the end result would look like.

I agree SinCity, i'm renouncing of the idea of installing the rear diffuser due to the same reasons.

Its an interesting ideea evil! i like how it looks on some cars i've seen like an E46 M3 or C63 AMGs. On the cars i own i look to achieve at tops the sport versions of that car, so for my A6 i want it to look like and SLine, S6 or RS6, to match the OEM that Audi thought of when first design them. I know i can have better imagination :), but at the same time i don't want to over do it also.

I put the 35% tint on the back and 50% in front and it looks great, my S6 grill hasnt arrived yet, so i didn't get any pictures yet, but in the meantime, look who parked exactly near me today at the mall!!! :) very intimidating and i can honestly say that its incredible!

After seeing that RS6 a new question spawns : does anyone have some pictures of a C6 facelift sedan with a spoiler? (I keep finding pictures of non-facelift C6, but i need to see it on the 2009+ model to make up my mind if i want to order one or not).

Because the S6 bumper & rear valance mod is left for early spring next year, here is a mod that i'm contamplating now.
I don't know exactly how they are called in english, but i always thought that the C6 S Line was missing them while the A4 and A5 S Line looked great with them. Yes, they are from B8 S4 models and a friend of mine installed them and i think they really fit and look great.

i know some S5 people have issues with them...they put too much stress on them with there lower leg when they exit the car

They are not expensive, i think around 80$ each and they fit in length (- 0.5cm or something) but they have to be glued and not bolted.
The codes are : Schweller links 8K0854931 A (left) and Schweller rechts 8K0854932 A (right).

Hey! In the last two pictures it is not my car. It is a friend's with 19'' and S Line suspension which lowers the car with 30mm vs stock suspension. I'm only changing to 19'' after winter and i have the same dilemma as you with 19'' vs Stock suspension. I will go wheels first and then if i don't like how it looks i will change suspension (springs + shocks or coilovers). Can't help you at the moment, sorry.

lol - no problema. I have the s-line suspension laying around here from my 2008 A6 but i dont think there is any difference.

In the US i think even the s-line comes with non-sport suspension, since mine came with 18"s and when i installed the 19" looked like a grass hopper.

:)). I feel you man. Smaller wheels => bear on the small bicycle , Bigger wheels/stock suspension => grass hopper. We just can't win.
Only reason i didn't changed suspension yet is because i cannot find a trusting shop that will do that here. I think i have to drive to another country for that.

Thanks for the compliment eKKoMan! I just did the spings. When I wear out the shocks, I will switch to FSD's.

I got the springs installed in May (just prior to Wuste). I have put 7500 miles on the car since the install.
