- i put my S Line badges on and i put them worng because i didn't had a paper matrix :(... they look like for the A5 (closer to the door), and it bothers me. By looking at your pictures, i see that its placed very similar with OEM S-Line badges. Do you know a place where i can order original S Line badges with similar instructions? ( i looked at
www.europaparts.com but couldn't find only "supercharged" badges)
- do they allow you to run without plate numbers in front? It looks very clean with the full grill, especially for the Facelift model which doesn't have that plastic for holding the number plates that makes it look like an C5;
Again, congrats on the car!
Thanks eKKoman. I am not really going to have the answers your are looking for but I will let you know what I know.
- I am not sure what the tint % is. It was on the car when I got it. Initially, I was going to pull it and have it replaced with 20% - it is obviously not this dark. With that said, I think it is ~30% (not sure it is as light as 35%). The tint was done well and I figured I would just keep it for now and put funds towards other mods.
- I do not know of a place that has sline templates for placement. I do know, that before I found the templates for the supercharged badging, I was just going to find a badged A6 and do my own. I figured it couldn't be that hard to trace - I would just need the permission from the owner LOL. Maybe a phone call to europaparts might reveal something they don't have on their site? Maybe ECS? In the end though, I would bet you could handle a quick track of a badged car at the moment. If not, download the .pdf file for the supercharged template and work from that. Both sides will be even in the end and may look more appropriate.
- Colorado law requires a front plate. Just a roll of the dice if I get stopped and cited. If I do, cost of the ticket may be worth having a clean front end.
I did a quick search on ECS's site and found this:
sline badge
No pic so I would call and confirm. You could always 'reback' your badges with 3M tape and resuse them.
Hope this helps on some level.
