    You've got an Avant, right?

AFAIK the RS4 system is sedan only, not sure that it will fit (without significant mods) on an avant. Just food for thought.

That said, (I think) I just bought a 16689 for my B6 from the classifieds (still waiting for the seller to get back to me after I sent the funds...) so if it arrives I can get some measurements if that'd help you.

I don't think the exhaust is different from a sedan to an avant. No exhaust I've seen comes in an avant version, and plenty of avants with exhaust.

The RS4 exhaust isn't a perfect fit on the S4 from what I've read. But it will fit with some tweeking.

Hmm, thought I saw the Mag system had seperate numbers for cab/sedan/avant. I know cab and sedan are diff, but maybe they just listed them seperately even tho theyre the same part #.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I don't know anyone in the area running RS4 mangaflow on their (B7) S4. If you want to hear Neuspeed, let me know, I'd be happy to show it off for you. And if you want to hear a number of different cars and exhausts, come to Quattro de Mayo: http://www.quattrodemayo.com

Well, I will have my S4 with the RS4 Magnaflow kit at SOWO again this year. It's not a direct bolt on, I had to extentd the hook-up between the catback and cats. I also had to bend the tubes around the diff. It will look like this except I should have my coilovers on by then. If you want to hear it before then I work off 400N in Cumming. I kinda sounds like an old 5.0 stang around 1-3k rpm.

    OK,

After much thought, I ended up pulling the trigger on the APR cat-back. They are running a 10% off now so it was hard not to.

I did not want to spend more than $1000 and the Magnaflow seemed to be the best bet but I wanted the quad tips which meant the RS4 version which is not a "direct" fit or going with the B6 version and having some custom tips welded on.

The APR version offers me everything I wanted I think...quiet, quad tips, direct bolt on, and ~$1000. As much as the FI and Milltek versions are raved about I could not justify the extra $$$.

Plus now I can install it myself since it is designed for the B7 S4.

Thanks for the input and hopefully I can see some of you at SOWO!!!

Already got the "negative" on quattro de mayo...but I can hopefully swing the saturday night up in Helen....

Congrats on the exhaust, but I would say that's a bad move... Sorry, you're just not going to see a gain in HP's running a 2.25" exhaust, unfortunately. But if sound and quality is all you're looking for than you're fine! ;)

A little late to the party, but here's my exhaust. Catless DP's and RS4 Magnaflow CB:

APR's B6/B7 S4 Exhaust is offered as both a full or as a catback system. The catback system is a complete stainless steel, mandrel bent, cat-back exhaust. The exhaust is a dual 2.5" system that begins at the factory downpipes and continues to an innovative center muffler. The exhaust then splits and each mandrel bent pipes goes to its own muffler with a 3.5" (90mm) bevel-cut, round tip for the B6 S4, or dual 3" (75mm) for the B7 S4.
