Yeah the tread is supposed to "cut" through snow as the weight of the car packs it, then release it as the tire spins. That's why the tread patterns are always aggressive

Yeah, thats what I mean.. Maybe I missunderstood Shansters inital statement, I thought he meant that the snow is supposed to stay in the threads turn after turn..

i guess it's a little bit of both.... I read that on snow covered roads having snow in the treads improves traction. They want snow to compact into the tread. But you're right that it wants to knock loose as the tire rotates and then have new snow compact in there.

And found out that I will be going to Lackland AFB....as an MTI for all enlisted folks. If you're wondering what an MTI is...think about the guys that yell during BMT! That will be me.

Exactly. Studded tires are for environments where the roads are iced over almost all winter. Except for extreme places, they're now a bit archaic

Today I had to cancel an order for a fan control module from pelicanparts.com. Ordered it this weekend, because it was about $80 cheaper than anywhere else, with free shipping. Got a call this afternoon, saying the retail price went up to over $500...oh, and I'd have to cut the old wiring harness off and use it with the new one. Yeah, I don't think so. I ended up at Europaparts, which is what I should've done from the start.

It's the back of the folding seats, where they meat the locking pin on the side. Love the front seats though

I wouldn't be. Completely unsafe for anybody sitting in back. I'm sure he'll figure out a way to make it work though.

Finally had time to pull the transmission and see how badly i broke my clutch... I picked up the JHM lightweight flywheel and RS4 clutch kit to replace it. The whole job was not too bad I thought it would be worse from the post i saw here. The hardest part was getting the pilot bearing out of the engine... what a PITA. After that I was too tired to take pics of the reinstall. I really need to make a build thread....LOL Well I'm still breaking in the clutch so i will let everyone know my opinion after that's done.

On the way to Vinny Ten Racing

Well, I found out that I must have a massive gaping hole somewhere because my boost has slowly disappeared from 22psi to 15psi to now 9psi. My guess is driver side intercooler piping is sliding off since I can hear a massive gush of air leaking on the driver side.
