The new facelift flat-bottom steering wheels are here finally! These new steering wheels feature the same thickness as the original RS3, RS6, TTRS and R8 V10 steering wheels with same style of contouring, plus these steering wheels are smaller in diameter than factory round wheels and the original flat-bottom wheels. All are prepared to be plug and play with appropriate badging and a complete piano black trim piece for removing badging is available upon request.

Yes, all the wheels are available with or without shift paddles. I don't have the S5 unit in stock without shift paddles however, so not on special unfortunately. I do however have airbags in stock to make package deals.

pneks2001- That picture is really small, can't see the shift knob all that well. I suspect you are looking at the side button shift knob:



I haven't yet tested this fitment, but I have seen an A5 with this shift knob fitted. Should be a plug and play piece from what I am seeing:

Do you have any pictures of the A4 Post Auto Shift Knob in BROWN leather? Does it match the stock Audi brown interior?

Well from what I can tell the brown leather in the pre-facelift was a beige, lighter brown, correct? That is called Kamut Beige. The facelift cars have a color called Moor Brown, likely not the same, different color code as well.

For anyone interested in the S-Line steering wheels you can upgrade to the aluminum shift paddles:

Aluminum Post-Facelift Flat-Bottom Shift Paddles - $130.50 pair

The original flat-bottom aluminum paddles are far more expensive than this, really a deal and possibly even a pricing mistake at the moment. Just another option for anyone interested.

Alex - Can you explain in details the procedure to change the paddles from black to aluminum? Tools needed, time, level of difficulty?
I might get the s-line steering package but want to make sure I can change the paddles myself!

I can switch the paddles here if needed on any of these packages. These steering wheels are a bit harder to work with than the original style in terms of disassembly, fragile as well. If you purchased a package and wanted instant gratification versus waiting on paddles coming here I could run through installation. It's not terribly complex, just needs to be done with care.

I can run through the process on replacement of the paddles when items are shipped. Again it's not very tough, but somewhat involved and you have to be forceful but gentle at the same time.

The RS5 facelift wheel is available only with shift paddles. The steering wheel is the same thickness as the original R8 V10 flat-bottom, though all the new facelift flat-bottom wheels are actually smaller in diameter than the original thick style flat-bottom steering wheels!

All functions are retained as with your original wheel, though the iNav button is not functional but navigation is still accessible by tapping the right roller wheel.

Didn't want to overwhelm OP with additional work needed to achieve the 'proper look'

We'll see in a few weeks how that trim goes.

The MMI upgrade is another story and I have looked into for another owner. Virtually every part of the MMI system is a new part number, which does not bode well for an easy conversion. I may be working with an owner on this project in the coming months though and will know much more then.
