Putting the engine in as I speak. Going crazy trying to get it to mate to the tranny. Got the spline in but can't get it the last half inch. Gaaahh

As expected though I am sure. Sure taking the engine out is easier but to put it back in is the b*tvh!! The advantage to pulling the tranny in clutch jobs is the ability to maneuver it on a tranny jack to the crazy angles it has to be in to fit ever soo right. Glad to hear you're this far tho must be a huge relief!

That was the biggest pain in the ass when I was putting my motor back in too. I only pulled it to do the clutch and some piddly shit though. I wish for my other motor :(

Don't force it or you will damage the pilot bearing. Did you remove the slave cylinder to make things easier?

Ahh of course. Instagram to the rescue. Nice work.

The real question though: would you do it again?

okay heres a huge update witha bunch of pictures because I have internet again.
    First things first.

Some friends stopped by to help (watch)

Got the exhaust side on. chased the threads and the mount brackets bolted right up.

Then I trimmed the Tstat housing

    Till it fit snug.

Then I did the Accessories and the Intake Manifold.

Almost ready to go in so I did the clutch

Then we put that bitch in her place..... bitches love being put in their place.

    front clip back

    front bumper back

    And the final product!!!

I started last thursday and did the first start Tuesday morning. (would have been monday but it was a holiday and nothing was open)
my build included alot of drinking and dicking around. Could have been done quicker had we not had such an enjoyable time while working.
I'm 22 years old and have never tackeled anything this big. It was a wicked learning experience.

Currently in the break in process.
Was rolling around without a hood and then it started to rain.
I came home and put my hood on but now it wont open! Fuck. lol. I think I forgot the hood pull cable.
I searched and found a few threads on it so I'll sort that out today after class

CP- dont do this on your street. I'd only attempt it if you have a 2 car garage, friends and lots of beer.

Cheers, Thanks for reading and thanks for all the help guys.

I lol'ed at the part where you said your hood wouldn't open. At least you didnt find that out at 3:30am after blowing off a charge pipe and being stuck on the side of the road like I did. Congrats on getting it running again!

old thread and I think you ended up getting rid of the car but a couple of questions if you could answer them

where did you get the wheels from?
and was much needed to be done to fit the steering wheel and did everything work on it?
