My new Headlights mod :)

Well, today i started the new mod with my headlights.
I did that beacuse one of my led did not work so i needed to change the whole led kit on the Dectane leds,and I'm really glad i did that, beacuse the new leds really are bright and looking good :)

here are sum pictures, and yeah it took like 15 min to remove the front bumper :D, last time i did that it was my first time it took me about 5 hours to change the headlights hahaha.. and now i did open the headlights painted them changed the led it was a bit difficult with the connections and the canbus system but at last ive fixed it with my cousin.

More pics will come :) tomorrow i will be done with the work :)






haha my cousin was afraid to hold the wires eh thought he will get tazed or something :D
as you can se it is big difference and ive also made it easier for me to change the leds if somethign happens to them, it will take about 30 min to both of them :D

They are much more brighter and looks much more nicer, also in daylight with the sun directly on the lights they look very bright, with the dectane you couldnt se if they were on :S
I'm also using 36 LED's insted of 12 thats on the original leds that comes with the lights.

where did you get the led strips....I would like to do the same with mine. Did you have to modify the strips you bought....do you have any more in depth pics....

This strips you have look like they have a black background and the ones in the eBay listing look like they are clear.

I have a LED as an over head light in my room, and that guy alone cost $17.

Well, ive never done a DYI but i can try to do that :), it is actually easy to chaneg the leds beacuse the Dectane headlights allready have its own Canbus for the leds and its own resistor for it, so i hade to remove their own leds that really sucks compair to these..

are they white or blue?

they are 6000k :) like my Xenon HID

YEAHHH +1 for a DIY, its awesome stuff ! I wanna do the same thing as yours..cos mines are not very bright in the day time as well o.O They weren't from dectane..got them off ebay..but looks exactly the same..possibly same supplier? either way..it doesnt come up with an error code..so I assume it has a canbus system in it

lights are lookin good man Ive got the same ones and so far im the only guy in toronto with them from wut ive seen...i wanna mod my leds too cuz im pretty sure im having a ground issue with my driver side...couple of the leds just recently started flickering on and off lol so annoying

okwej ill make an DIY so that all fo you who wants to do the same can do, but i only recomend this for ppl were some leds does not work like mine, otherwize keep them untill something happens to them and then make the mod.

like Phil said the leds i have sux and i agree with him beacuse as ive been reading in the forums he seems to know much about theese things.
and i am looking for new leds with quality but lol where do i get them?

so what im going to do is this

first i will buy a bigger led lamp with 4 or 6 leds on it. then i will make a chrome mirror on the bakside of the led plate and plastig on the otherside so that the led will reflekt on the whole led plate :D and after that make a new whole on the backside of the headlight so that i can change the LED bulb if it burns or stops working. :D much easier way then and i think it really will look good..

I used Heatgun, its not god at all to bake it :O
its not comlicated at all actually :D first time i did that took me 10min/headlight

Mods have not looked at it yet, they havent sent me a mail if it is approved or not.

The best thing to color these headlights is that the projector ball is not visible and when you have LEDs only, it looks so damn hot :D both day & night :D much better look than the original

yea thats tru i havnt had a chance to really take a look at it yet but im hoping ill get around to it soon cuz its starting to annoy me alot lol but w.e if i had the time and patience id definately do wut ur planning on doing...makes a huge dfference man lol im still surprised to see someone else with the same headlights though cuz these are def my favourite out of all the aftermarket led lighting options

naah, man ive fixed everything within 5 Hours :) you can do it only if u have evrything at home just start doing i, or you can w8 with that when i fix the new led style like i wrote before i will make a new DIY with all the instructions maybe video also if it makes it easier :)
