    034Motorsport - Reinforced Silicone Breather Hoses - Intake Manifold to Check Valve!

    After paying the dealer for way too many of these, we deiced to make our own better, more awesome silicone ones!


    Reinforced silicone breather hose for B5 and B6 1.8T, runs from the bottom of the intake manifold to the check valve attached to the lower block breather hose. The OEM hose is made from rubber which likes to crumble apart and cause a common boost leak. Replaces OEM part number 058 103 221E.

    Available in black only.

    We also now offer our 034Motorsport Billet PCV Check Valve as an option with the silicone breather hose.

    Nice......I've got the Silicone Coolant Line kit.....most underrated mod I've done to the car. Makes the engine bay look so much cleaner......If I didn't have a PCV delete, I'd be placing an order.

    Laszlo, is that pcv bleeder valve threaded so you can disassemble it and clean it out?

    And does it seal off pretty good under boost? How high did you test it?

    Yeh the standard pcv is crap. I have an old and new one and i can practically blow air past them myself.

    I replaced mine a couple months ago, and I think it is already toast again. Seen a little bit of oil on the 3 way hose, but not sure if it is just old residue or the pcv valve is shot again. Audi engineering at it's greatest. I need to pick this up sooner or later.

    The housing for the PCV check valve is threaded 2-piece design and fully serviceable. It's a spring-loaded ball-style check valve, and we've tested it to 40 PSI. It seals off better than the stock valve even at low (7-8 PSI) boost pressures.

    i have never had one break on me in the last 4 years of owning 1.8T a4's with bigger turbo's .... am i lucky orrrr what?

    For the S-hose, I don't think they "fail" outright so much as the rubber just becomes porous and seeps a bit. The PCV bleeder valves, however, do have a tendency to stop sealing correctly. Even brand new ones, or freshly cleaned ones often won't seal properly. This creates one of the worst possible type of boost leaks: manifold boost leak right into the crankcase. Granted it usually isn't a huge leak, it is nice that there is finally a better product available.
