That's what I did with my prelude a/c delete. Just don't want to measure. I want to have all the parts ready (or as much as possible) when I take it apart

I like your normal mode on the camera too instead of the fish eye. Keep up with your steam, do not end up like me, my car has been piece for over 8 month now. Good luck...

BTW, how did you clean your engine bay? your floor looks spotless. What cleaner and method did you use?

Thanks man! I would help you work on your car if i lived anywhere near, i seem to be a work robot right now. ha

I cleaned the engine bay with first 2 cans of Brakleen, then some WD40, then just soap and water. I bought it off the original owner with low-ish miles but the guy never cleaned the bay because it was gross!

Parts to acquire: One bumper alignment bolt, one wiperblade nut, and some deodorant.

Now for the timing, I find the approximate bentley manual way the best for me. Plus, it takes like ten minutes aswell as does a good job of keeping everything in pin point timing.

After i replaced the seals in the heads i cleaned the front of the block up a bit which was surprisingly clean already and installed the cam lock bar.

I then installed two 'saftey nets' of tiewraps and rope to insure nothing will fall off.

I also installed the crank lock pin which i guess is a mystery in location to some, but, HERE IT IS right underneath the driverside motor mount bracket. This will hold the crank in perfect TDC for me.

I left the cam-pulleys off slightly so i can spin them when i tension the belt for even tension. (the cam bar works by connecting to the end of the camshafts onto two tabs which go in one way)

The cambolt is just threaded in half way so it doesn't stiffen up the pulleys.

I then could start to prime the tensioner before i pull the pin and that tenses the belt, and spins the pulleys into good positions.

Then bottom of the wrench is pulled into the snub mount bracket

The belt is now tense and i can pull the pin and tighten the pulleys

Got all the torque specs written on that piece of paper by my feet.

I sealed the valve covers and put on my new spider assembly. Plus i put the fuel rail on with the new injectors.

Next step, turbos. I had to buy some coolant supply lines, turbo gaskets, and modify a couple things which went okay.

I used a marker to guide my angle grinder here, AND shot an in focus photo at the same time.

Had to break out the copper anti-seize

I had to mock it up a couple times to get the approximate mount modifications right.

I also just went ahead and took it upon myself to install the signal and wastegate lines, which look 'very nice'

Here they are on the turbo(s). Use threadlocker and dont forget anything.

With the turbos wrapped up i cut over to my shifter linkage and went ahead and installed the 'trio' early package! I'm very happy about how this will feel.

Here's the other end of that:

I really dislike the plastic crosspiece

And my APR bipipe needed heavy modification to clear my fan! Anyone else get that?

Most of the time i spend on this build is done at 5:00AM after i get home from wiring (electrician) this shitty department store in the south of town. But it's all good, i can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. ordered the AFR G3 and LC-1 today, i like the analog display, parallax error time!

Started by cleaning the bellhousing, inspecting the clutch fork, installing the CM TOB, and greasing the flanges.

The light weight steel, SMFW (that rhymes) didnt come with a torque plate, but i consulted Kevin@ CM about using the OEM torque plate and he said it was okay. I used caution torquing the FW bolts up while using threadlocker because they dont look like stretch bolt. Instead of a full 180*, i went 60*. They were solid. The rest was also bolted up.

Here a picture i found of the coolant, oil lines, with the EGT probes installed i forgot to post. (Sorry, a little blurry)

I took out my stock fuel pump, and bench tested my 044. ITS ALIVE! Here's a comparison

There something interesting i found in the trunk when it comes to the sunroof that will save ppl a lot of time when it comes to cleaning the lines. Just take the lining on either side part way out and you will expose the drain lines. I might just be discovering this now, and you already know.

Got my Lobro kits, and REIN kits(thanks kenny!) and disassembled my front axles and cleaned them up. CAREFUL , this shit has lead in it.... That could harsh your nervous systems buzz

J1 AR Driverside shaft all naked

Inspected end hub, and cleaned it up, (photo pre-cleaning)

Shaft all done and burped, i did passenger right after

To the break of DAWN! The sun came out and I opened the garage to give me room to work in my new office. welcome to my new office (im delirious)

BTW i had Depeche Mode, and the new White Lies records on the stereo. I tried that new Band Of Horses record and promptly threw it in the trash, along with my old IC brackets!

Got the harness out carefully and wired the motor after i gapped the spark plugs to .025 and installed coil packs

    Thats it for now.

I'm going to run an in-cabin gauge. What I'm going to do is use a pressure transducer and wire it into one of the auxiliary inputs of my Zeitronix ZT2 LCD gauge (that way I avoid the Vin Diesel look. I'll only have an analog boost gauge in the vent and the LCD gauge, but I'll be measuring Wideband O2's, EGT's, Boost (electronic and analog), and fuel pressure. And I'll be measuring Ethanol content in the glovebox.

Do you by chance know the inner diameter of the stock basket?

The stock basket has ridges running vertically to hold the pump away from the diameter of the actual inner basket wall , i didnt have any calipers on hand but i used my tape. 1" 11/16 with ridges and 1" 7/8's w/o.

+ I really wish i bought the Zeitronix now! I think i'm going to source a sending unit from something to make use of a digital gauge. I guess 4 gauges isnt that bad ;)
