eurocode headers with res and non res miltek exhaust(updated 2/19/11)

ok so as some may know, stratmosphere(John you're the man, thank you) helped me out with sending me a used res exhaust system along with a non res rear section to test out with the headers. i loved my fast intentions exhaust but with the headers was just too much for daily use. it droned pre headers and just amplified like crazy post header install. so we mounted up the miltek res exhaust and all i can say is wow. the car sounds amazing, very OEM like smoothness to the sound with ZERO rasp and ZERO DRONE in any gear and any rpm(great news for the s-tronic guys). the car is barely louder than stock on the inside, but has a certain "rawness" that isn't present with the stock setup, its hard to put into words. for me, its a little too quiet tho so i will probably end up with a non res system on this but i know many will love that they can use this system on they're daily drivers without any obtrusive noises whatsoever. you would never know the car had headers on it from its sound(powers another story ). since its late and i'm an idiot and accidentally closed the tab that had a much nicer more detailed post than this, ill cut it short right here. so if anyone has any other questions that i most likely answered in my lost post, ask away. here's some video

Not sure how this setup will sound with the APR, but overall they sound like this stock:

Milltek - deeper note, more like a V8 (Dr Volkl's car with Strat intake also), but can drone stock with selecting too tall a gear and giving heavy throttle.






APR - More raspy and Porsche like, very civil at idle and low revs, but howls when you get on it - no droning.

yea i def wanna try out the apr Kiho so ppl can at least hear it and decide for themselves. rasp might be an issue but its good that your exhaust is fully broken in. weekends are hard for that install. when you find some time during the week give me some notice. swapping the exhausts is quick when u can do it in one large piece

They dyno'd the headers W/stock exhaust, and yes you have to drop the engine. Milltek gains? Maybe another 5-10hp?

The Milltek alone showed 13/13 at the crank, but the bonus is the 35lb-ft over stock, at 3000rpm. One would imagine that with the headers, its going to be one potent combination.

ok so here are some vids with the non res as promised. this setup is LOOOUD lol. there is a bit of drone but nothing like the fast intentions exhaust, there is also some rasp on the outside(can't here it in the cabin). ill ultimately be going with the res miltek setup and possibly give it the fonzie treatment and get rid of the rear resonator and keep the other three on. the res exhaust setup with these headers give it a factory modified sound which is almost RS like giving the car a mean attitude. much louder than stock on the outside while also being composed and quiet on the inside when you want it to be... anyways here are the vids. ill do some drive by's tomorrow or day after as well as any other requests people have before i put the res back on. again i really wanna thank david and greg at eurocode for putting out a bitchen product that puts a deep smile on my face every time i drive and another huge thanks to john from stratmosphere for his willingness to help find the best possible sound for these headers. im in love with the res setup but anyone who still wants to hear other exhaust systems from there cars just let me know and we can set something up to swap em and help the rest of the forums out in finding there ideal setups
