Reason why I am posting this in here is because this seller is posting this all over Craigslist and I figured everyone who reads the B5 S4 Forums would have a better chance in seeing it in here.

hey i have a 2001 audi s4 quattro for sale 90k miles! 2.7l v6 twin turbo 6 speed manual! runs and drives perfect, the interior is all black leather vader seats with nice heated warmers, all electric seats windows and sunroof, has a boost guage in the vents,not a flaw in the interior,has rs4 coilovers adjustable, the car is sittin on 18" s4 wheels with 100% tread on tires, AWE full tuning exhaust system sounds amazing like a ferrari! two ko4 turbos, ecu chip. and computer chip increasing it to almost 400hp, has two blow off valves,two sidemount intercoolers,also has skid plates under the car . this car is just insanely fast, also has tinted tailights, big brembo red brake it! exnon blue headlights, this car is soo nice and i hate to sell but i need cash asap, call me at 971-241-3525 thanks."

The truth is: This kid bought this car on Saturday, December 4, for $4500 cash. He had it for two days, and re-listed it for $7999 stating that he "needs cash fast". Many of his claims are false in the ad. There are a little over 97k miles on it, the tires are definitely worn, and the car was last dyno'd coming up under 300 hp. Basically he spray tinted the tail lights and added $3500 to the car, which is what it would be worth with a clean title which he is claiming it has (it has a BRANDED title). His name is Justin Ebensteiner.

CAR DOES HAVE A SALVAGED TITLE, HIGHER MILES, only around 300HP, tires are not new, tread is worn, etc. So if you plan on buying this or saw this vehicle on CL, before you waste your time flying out to Tigard to check it out, beware. I even called on this car and the kid lied and I even said I'd drive down form WA to see it... and he still lied. So just a forewarning! I asked him why there are buyer's warnings on Craigslist about his car and his excuse was cause they were jealous of his car and because it was someone who wanted to buy his car for only $5,000 and since he wouldn't sell it for that price they were jealous.... right.... He also didn't reply to my text yet asking for the VIN so I could run a Carfax report... sketchy!

Exactly. Especially trying to claim a clean title, lower miles, new tires, and 100hp extra. He told one guy he had a local shop do all the work this past weekend... but then states he is in "need of cash" and also can't remember the name of the shop... lol. I see nothing wrong with buying then resealing to make some $$$. But when almost everything in the ad is a false statement... not worth people's time. The new seller also threatened one guy saying he hacked into his computer and is going to "screw him over", all because the potential buyer asked questions regarding the "computer chips" that the seller is claiming ad 55hp, but "he forgot the name of them" and supposidly there are 2 chips... lol. Guy is not very bright.

well im not defending him, but a bonded title doesnt make it salvaged or "unclean". it just means that when he bought the car, he didn't have a signed title from the previous owner. an insurance company bonds a new title to the new owner and the previous owner has a certain number of days to claim the car as stolen or something and the insurance company will cover the costs if that happens. if not, new owner legally owns the car. the next time the car is sold, it will no longer say (BONDED) at the top of the new title

Not trying to make an argument here, just pointing this out so people don't see it and waste their time and travel out there to find out they just wasted their time, unless they really don't care that nothing in the ad is correct nor truthful about the car...

Yup, that is the same one. Spread the word so nobody gets screwed over by the new owner. The previous owner is a nice guy and was honest about everything. New owner is a scam artist.

I fell for it hook line and sinker. Honestly, I don't know much about these cars. I looked it over. The car actually presented well. The engine even sounded decent... very quiet at idle. Ran strong. Then I started asking about a carfax. He played it cool said he'd email it to me as soon as he got home so. I thought that would be nice so I wouldnt have to pay the fee (has worked out fine in the past). He said he had a lot of interest, people calling him, one person applying for loan already. I, *EXTREMELY STUPIDLY* gave him $100 cash as a retaining fee to not sell the car. He agreed no prob.
Then, when he didnt send the carfax, I started calling/texting him about it..... nothing. Not answering at all now. I, finally, put his phone number into google and found this thread. He took the $$$ and ran!

I'm so ****ing livid right now, but it's my own ****ing fault. :(

such things as this guy's retarded attitude and actions is what drives down the values of our cars and even other cars, as well as the general degredation of society as a whole.

in reality someone should really report the little punk to the city where he lives for dealing cars without a license and the $100 bucks can be reported as petty theft with local law enforcement, although I dont know how they handle it up there or if they would really be interested.

bottom line is someone needs to do something.

it is interesting though, looking at some of the pics of this guy and his "girlfriend" (if you can call her that) look pretty 'twacked out to me. also, there was a comment made on the vortex that his new "mechanic" works all night on these cars. in fact the claim was made that the original car this thread was started about was made stg 3 overnight. not that it cant be done, but it would take some knowledge and experience to make it happen. sounds like tweakers to me...

at any rate, i hope you get your money or at least some retribution. sorry for your loss.

It is leagal to buy and sell cars but only 6 per year without a dealer license in oregon which I know for a fact he is going over.
