i got to agree with Raacerx. yes, it is an amazing project and i wish guys good luck. but, 2.7T is already heavy engine hanging in front of front axle, affecting handling of the car. hanging a 5.0L V10T, u r looking at waaaay worse weight distribution. yes, on drag strip it might not matter, but on real curvy road/track - there is going to be massive understeer... u need to run widebody and 275mm rubber upfront with hard a@@ suspension to try to compensate for it... not the greatest combination.

#1. The S4, I don't care what anyone says, isn't the ideal platform for cornering ability. You don't buy an S4 to be competitive in the cornering game. Yes I know about the time attack 034 car, yes I know about it's past successes, but do you know about the modifications it took to get that car there? If cornering is your concern the s4 in stock form isn't your cup of tea.'

#2. The car is a wb rs4 and could probably take 295's with a little fender pull

#3. You don't even know yet if the motor is going in the front/rear or what the configuration will look like all said and done. How can you even begin to make a determination on whehter or not this is "your cup of tea"?

The gearbox shown allows the V10 to be mounted about 6 inches rearward due to the front differential being besides the engine versus behind it, so I'd be willing to bet that weight distribution isn't impacted as much as one would think. Also the V10 is an all aluminum engine which helps in the weigh dept as well. Anybody got some weights and measures comparing the 2.7 and the V10. With some mad crafty fab skills the engine could be further moved rearward by modifying the firewall (the limitation being the power steering rack).

Good point. The reality is it's far to soon to label this build "not your cup of tea". Making these types of comments at this point just makes a person seem like a jealous nincompoop (Unless he can come in and say it's not his cup of tea because it's too expensive).
