LOL! I will go out on a limb and say that they would love to provide launch control but can't currently..... IE it's not their desire but their ability.... Maybe I am wrong....

Notice HPA released DSG software and then a bunch of hacks had DSG software a few weeks to months later.

That product is made by HGP in Germany AFAIK... HPA just re-brands it as their own... As is suspected with Stasis' ECU tune...

With that said when I had my 6spd DSG I would have gotten their tune if I didn't decide to take the car apart...

I highly doubt that hgp/hpa will be doing anything with this DSG setup... from the few people that I have asked about this is that the new ecu for the trans is very hard to crack. (I am sure keith can attest to the difficulty of the ECU for the engine's difficulty to crack/code given that no other tuner has released their own software)

It will be nice to see though what is actually sitting under the car in the 2011 models... whether it is in fact quattro VI...

Oh yea, for sure. HPA is private labeled HGP for distribution in North America. So, HGP is the innovator but by supporting HPA you are supporting HGP.

Well this would be really very cool.

I recognize that in most situations, the computer is much smarter than me, but I like the fact that the SMG in my old e46 M3 acted like a true manual - it would never shift (except to prevent a stall) unless I told it to. Of course, the DSG is a much more sophisticated transmission, but the fact that it shifts even if you haven't asked it to makes it feel more 'automatic'.

I have to say that the higher redline, etc (based on the specs for the upgrade for the Golf) scares me a little bit as it relates to warranty preservation.

I think HPA is only preparing the software upgrades for the following 7 speed DSG/S-tronics: DQ200 and DQ500 (mainly covering transverse engine cars, not for longitudinal platforms), which is different to our DL501 DSG application.

On the other hand, while looking into the products of HGP, I found this, ECU tune for 3.0T. Anyone care to give them a shout?

7150 redline. I gots me a whole email thread now too. Another bit of good info I have is that you can flash it on your own with your laptop. No need to go to an HPA dealer. Shooting for end of January just like previously mentioned.

Ha! I was just clowning MM, the email is uneventful. Just says they're working on it and they are shooting for the end of Jan. Said it would have their standard feature set that can be seen in their site. Check it out. It can get pricey.
