RS6 6 speed Manual Swap Update CAR RUNNING!!!! With Sneak peak ER RS6 intercoolers

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just finished the Car and made some videos, sorry but they're Crappy Iphone videos. Should make some better ones soon. But for now this is All i got....

BTW I used a Stock clutch, and it slips pretty Badly, way too much power. SO, I'm getting a stage 4 on Tuesday and going to install it over the week. There were a lot of things that needed to be modified to make the complete swap work correctly. Again as before in other post, i did not use ANY adapter plate nor aftermarket parts Other then flywheel/pressure plate/dics which was a giving. I have stock oem Starter and everything else.... Car starts and drives fine.... Even with Clutch slipping it's still pretty damn quick. So far logged 100 miles on car, 3 doughnuts, and much more to come!!!!

So far mods on car are Manual 01E 6 speed w Alum flywheel, Tuned ECU(chipped), piggys, and removed radiators behind Intercoolers AND for Test fitting and prototyping ER intercoolers :) Sneak peak Hope you like!

Thanks for Following the swap, PM me if your interested in Getting swap Done

What ecu software are you running? Both tune and how are you enabling the ecu to recognize that it's a manual vs. auto? Do you intend on making a full write up of what is needed/and how to install? Are you using the b5 s4 6 spd or a a6 2.7t?

I'm using a 01e tranny, both found in B5 S4 and C5 A6 2.7T. Not sure on making a DIY write up, if i did it would be a Huge book. Too much to list. Same concept on switching other Auto cars to manual, no real Big secert. But my Tune I'm keeping secret till it's completely ready for sell. Sorry :(

You be surprised, the complete swap doesn't cost too much... considering that RS6's are so cheap these days.

Matt don't forget to mention the modifications you have to do to the engine block (drilling holes etc.) and the omission of at least half the bolts that hold the engine to the transmission.

    Good to hear it's running.

Why the negativity??? I'm not failing to admit any modifications. There was another post that stated everything that I did, I'm not hiding the truth. I'm Missing one bolt... The Same Bolt That is missing on SteveKen Adapter kit... The upper left hand bolt at the 10:30 positon. every other bolt going from Trans thou spacer to engine is there. I have 6 out of 7. As for the lower oil pan area I have 1 out of 2. Even tho the starter area on the engine is slightly grinded down... Car starts with factory Starter, not aftermarket. So ever start feels and Sounds like the original car. I trust OEM over aftermarket any day.

At the end of the day, The car RUNS and Drives great.... Should have been like this from factory. Damn Audi..

No negativity, you advertised this as a bolt in affair and it is far from.. BTW there are 12 bolts in total that hold the engine to the transmission, so your missing 5.

    Good job none the less.

Um there aren't 12 bolts going from Trans to engine...... The other kit there are only 5 I think. The rest are going from engine to adapter, and then adapter to plate... Which isn't as strong as 7 going from trans throu spacer and into engine.. And after you get trans hook up, there are MORE then 6 things you have to modify to get every working correctly. Even if you had the other kit, you still have to modify stuff. Trans mount, exhaust, brackets. So bolting the trans on is 1 out of many things to worry about.

I'm not one to get in a pissing match, but ever time you post it's negative or pointing out something wrong about my project. I know for sure that you and steve are very close Friends. But one thing is for sure. My car is running and working fine.(other then a stock clutch)

FYI I guess you should tell this guys that Just 4 bolts are enough too, since there doing the same engine setup....

Yes 4 evenly spaced bolts are enough, however looking at the pictures you posted on the other threads, the entirety of bolts at the 3 o'clock position through the 7 o'clock position have no corresponding holes in the 01E transmission, with the exception of the starter bolts that you drilled into the engine block. BTW I would not consider myself and Steve close friends.

Anyways props to you glad to see it's up and running. Get a proper clutch in it and report back.
