GMP Performance - A5 Spacer Fitments

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

As part of our new A5 Project, we have decided to test out H&R spacer and bolt fitments to see what setups work best with the B8 coupe chassis. We installed them at stock height yesterday to give you guys an idea of what they look like with no suspension mods. Wheels are OEM 18x8.5 ET29. Here are the pics:

I'm running H&R 20 mm DRA rear spacers and waiting to put 10 mm fronts on as soon as they get here (not H&R though). IMO the 15mm in the front is too aggressive with a 20mm rear spacer. It is paired much better with the 25mm rear spacer if you want a more aggressive look.

    I'm running the 19' Y Spokes.

This is a great post, really appreciate you guys taking the time to make things like spacers easy to choose. I cant say how many hours I spend searching posts when their are multiples fitments or brands of something to choose from. Great job and keep it up!!! Thanks!

We will be doing a second round of testing with H&R Sport Springs tomorrow, and we will have complete bolt/spacer packages ready very soon.

I think the 25mm looks good that you are lowered. Before it was too much, now it looks pretty even with the fronts.

    I like the 15/25.

Are these spacers for sale, I'll be needing a 25mm soon.

Yes, we have the 25mm DRA Spacers on our site if you just need the rears.

And here's our complete Spacer Package for 15mm front/20mm rear.

    Hey Cameron,

The page on the link only refers to the 2x 15mm + bolts. No mention of the 20mm for the rears?

    Do you ship overseas?
Can i get a quote for the H&R spacers (15F & 20R inc bolts) and the H&R OE springs?? Shipping to Melbourne, Australia.

I've got the same wheels as the test car.

    Thanks

    Cameron/Anyone,

I love the H&R springs and spacers set up but when I phone my local supplier (I'm in Scotland) they can offer H&R springs that lower by 25mm and others (still H&R) which lower by 35mm. What ones are fitted on the car in the photographs? Any advice??

Nice thread...good information & pics. One question though: I'm looking to get a set of the 15mm spacers for the rear only (no front spacers). Are the spacers bolted to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacers? Or do the spacers just use longer studs that go through the spacers and into the hub? In other words, if I buy these spacers, will I have two sets of studs (one to attach the spacers and another to attach the wheels)?

I had 5's in front and 10's in the rear and just got done moving the 10's up front and 20's in back. I don't know if the S5 wheels are any different offsets than the A5 but I think 10's up front are perfect and 20's in the back are a little much.

Mybe it will grow on me but I think 15's in the back would have been perfect.

^ for 15's longer bolts. For 20's you can buy them either way.
