Thanks! I definitely feel like it pulls harder...specially top end. I am waiting on APR to release the intake and the exhaust, with that + the ECU tune, I'll be pulling up to a couple of 335's

not likely, but it sounds good in theory :) ....the fastest (very tuned) B8 that I know of is ~13.5 1/4's....stock 335's run ~13.0-13.1.....big gap.......this car WILL need a BT to complete.......and a chipped 335....well, that's another story.

+1... I like a large exposed FMIC on a car like an EVO where the front has been designed for it but it doesn't look nearly as good behind the B8 grill design.....I think it would look much better painted.

We could pull off the line and have 335 play catch up with a Stage 2 Intake Exhaust HFC/Test Pipe and FMIC. Dont you under estimate these babies =)

    Looks great!

Had mine installed about a month ago and the thing looks like a hog compared to the stock look. But now it just completely blends in.......

The wagon definitely pulls a lot smoother and healthier feeling now.

having come from an 09 335 coupe fully modded with JB3 and all bolt-ons - we are down 2 cylanders and a turbo. Stock may be a bit closer to a modded A4. Outside of that, there's no way you'd even be able to toucher :) I will say in the nastier elements - I'd say Quattro has major perks :)

    Agreed - looks good.

What I like about it is that in order for the FMIC to be visible you have to get at bumper level...you can't really see it when you are standing in front of the car...The design on the grill helps. Also take in account that the settings in the camera are so that the intercooler is very visible for pics. But I do think that black would look pretty nice too...I think I'm gonna keep it this way though...

I have a black car with this on it and it is not as noticeable as you would think. I would not bother painting it. It helps performance a great deal if you have a ecu flash to go with it.

Painting yes. Depending on the type of hard anodizing, very nil. Typically you would want Type I for the best heat transfer, but it's also not as strong as Type III.
For an application like this, there shouldn't be drastic differences with anodizing in relation to heat transfer.

FWIW Evolution Racewerks uses Type III. According to them, they didn't see any performance hinderance going from Type II to Type III anodizing.

Had mine for about 9 months and it definatly pulls harder - but you have to do the epipe delete of the voice box with it and you will really see it, not sure which was better and its $100 vs 900 mod - do them both.
So far AWE FMIC , EuroCode E-pipe, Stassis dual exhaust, h&r coilovers, 19" Hankook v12 wheels/rims, fully vagcom'd, giac stage 1, 10% tint front/rear lights, blue tint fogs, 1000w JL Sub.

For the record, it's STaSIS (your sig)... and you're never FULLY vag-com'd. Also, you might want to clear that last line in your signature with the AZ Admin, if you haven't already.

yeah the FMIC doesn't really stick out as much as you guys think. in pictures the flash brings it out but without flash you can hardly see it. my bro says he can't even see the FMIC when im driving by or when behind him lookin in his mirrors.

    no flash vs flash
