Me and my avant did a 3000km roadtrip

I went on a roadtrip with the girlfriend to New Brunswick to spend a week with her parents and family. We left Orangeville for Tracadie-Shiela in NB. It was 1527km and decided to do it in one day. Bought new winter tires and wheels for it just before leaving. I took 15hrs nonstop driving. Sorry all pics were taken with my iPhone

We stayed with her sister and brother inlaw who happens to be a RCMP officer




He took me out on a ride along when a snow storm hit. We were near the ocean where the wind blew a tractor trailer almost 300ft off the road. The wind gusted to over 160kph.

Love the tunnel in Montreal. Downed the windows and revved. Good times




Thats it. But damn the drivers I encountered in Quebec are the worst I have ever seen.

The car never missed a beat. Back felt graet after 15hrs nonstop almost. Averaged 22-24 us mpg, and I got a lead foot. I did it in 3 tanks each way. Great comfortable ride

Thats true. Most of the trip I was DJ. But damn, I want SAT radio now

Looks like a nice trip! The A4 Avant is a nice Roadtrip mate!:) Went away for about 1800km with me and the mates this summer!:) 600km in one drive with just food stops are no problem at all! Even thou i have sport seats and sport suspension and had a fully loaded car!:)

What did you average in l/100km?

I averaged around 10L/100km. In some spots it dropped to 9.2 We did the full 1500km in one day, and the car was completely comfy. Wish I had the sport seats though

Nice trip. Reminds me of the trip I did almost 10 years ago from Burlington (Ontario) to the east coast. Though I never did get do Newfoundland so I wouldn't quite say I got to the real east coast :(

I will be making a trip up to NB with my B7 in the next few months. I believe from where i am it is only about an 11 hour trip =)

I dread driving to visit my mom 4 hours away, I don't know how a trip of this magnitude would make me feel, enjoyed seeing the pics though.

Day shift bump. For those who haven't tried a roadtrip yet, I highly recommend it. Our cars are amazing at long journeys, and I didnt even feel sore after 15hrs straight driving.

I have the same car an have driven it up to Washington from San Francisco.

And yes I have satellite radio. Picked it up on EBAY and installed it from a DIY from our fourm ;-)
