Is it possible to vag-com and disable cold start diagnosis

I'm installing some LED all around and of course getting the bulb out message. But before I hack up my wiring to install load resistors I wanted to see if we can just disable the diagnostic check. I've searched but haven't found anything for Audi, but looks like its possible on Vdubs.

    For the MKV:
Byte 18 Bit 0 Cold Diagnosis License Plate Lights active
Byte 18 Bit 1 Cold Diagnosis Brake Lights active
Byte 18 Bit 2 Cold Diagnosis Front Fog Lights active
Byte 18 Bit 3 Cold Diagnosis Rear Fog Lights active
Byte 18 Bit 4 Cold Diagnosis High Beam active
Byte 18 Bit 5 Cold Diagnosis Turn Signals active
Byte 18 Bit 6 Cold Diagnosis Back Light active
Byte 18 Bit 7 Cold Diagnosis Side Turn Signals active
Byte 19 Bit 0 Cold Diagnosis Low Beam active
Byte 19 Bit 1 Cold Diagnosis Front Parking Lights active
Byte 19 Bit 2 Cold Diagnosis Rear Parking Lights active
Byte 19 Bit 3 Diagnosis Rear Parking Lights active

I suspect we should have something similar. I really don't like the idea of hacking up the wiring of my DRL, city lights, license plate lights, etc. to add load resistors. Anyone got ideas?

Re: Is it possible to vag-com and disable cold start diagnosis

The Mark V VWs use modules with Long Coding which allowed VAG to provide coding to enable/disable bulb failure, but the B7 uses much older design of modules that don't support long coding (there are a VERY few exceptions like the Engine ECU) so there is no way to disable bulb failure monitoring on the B7.

You'll just have to add resistors if you want to fit LEDs.
