New AWE FMIC & Gloss Black Grille installed...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just finished installing my new AWE Intercooler, Gloss Black Grille and Chrome Fog Light Rings last weekend and wanted to share a few pictures.
I gathered up all the parts for one BIG install!
With the help of all the advice I found on this forum and some pictures from a German site, everything went great! No surprises.

All but pic #7 that is....

The GB grill looks great on Grey.

Looks like the hardest part of this install is just getting behind the front bumper.....

    Thanks, MiracleWhips.
I can't get the last photo to post. Must of hit my limit.

The bumper cover was a bit of work, but not too bad.
It would go twice as fast if I had to do it again.

So far, with my Butt-dyno, it feels like the Torque is stretching out further, especially on my everyday commute. I feel more pull getting on the freeway and from the stop lights.
Next weekend I will get more of a chance to test in out.

I think if I ever added an FMIC I'd get it painted black somehow. They stand out WAY too much through the grill.

I have to agree, fortunately they sell a black spray paint specifically for radiators/intercoolers that wont affect their heat dispersion.

That photo certainly makes it stand out. It doesn't look anywhere near that obvious under normal lighting conditions.

They were only $280 w/tax from the dealer. I was lucky enough to receive a 20% off coupon plus another $25 off.
Regular price from the dealer would have been like $370.
That is for both the Grille and the Filler Plate.

JasonR is right. The pictures I took really focus on the IC. All the light was coming from behind me. It is not as noticeable when the car is out in the sun light.
I plan on taking some more pictures this weekend and I will post them here.
