my car is silver also and the black on silver looks great,I was going to paint it silver but the lip looks fine black.It really gives the front aggressive stance on the stock B7.Fills that huge front nose gap at the bottom..lower the car,get some 18 or 19 inch tires and the car will look sharp.

I like the unpainted look. I think the non-Sline bumper already has a lot going on horizontally, so another colormatched lip might be too "busy." This may have convinced me that it's the way to go. I think you positioned it perfectly, too. Some guys try to go out front a bit more and the side view suffers unless you mold it to the bumper.

I would suggest a 1/4 view picture from the front so that you can see the way everything flows. Thanks!

i'll post some pics when i get home from work since todays weather seems promising. i had 2 friends helping me with positioning and actually shaved the edges down so it could be pressed up perfectly to the wheel well flap thingys

i preordered the VMR v709's in matte black and when they come in i'll toss on some coilovers, possibly stasis ss, and then go for an all out photoshoot. i have an unpainted deval spoiler too but i think i'm going to be paint matching that.

When you are aligning it, is it possible to make it stick out further? I don't like it when you look at a profile picture and the nose comes down and then the cupra lip looks like its a 1/8th inch to maybe a half inch BEHIND the front of the bumper

yeah you can have it stick out a bit further. i had 2 friends helping so if you have some tape and a friend you can align it to your likings and then start drilling.

Very nice, I agree our non sline bumpers need some type of lip. One of the first things I bought for my car was a carbon fiber splitter.

wow that CF lip looks really good. what brand, how much, and where did you buy??

It is the Kerscher CF Splitter for the B6 Kerscher bumper. Do a search on here, I posted a pretty good write up and where I purchased it. I don't remember how much I paid, it was two years ago.
