    From what I just read in that link, they said the turbo's themselves are solid... just the boost creap issue due to the wastegates not flowing enough. That could be solved mybe by some porting etc...

    That's awesome, they even checked at what pressure the wastegate diaphrams break...very in-depth.

    So, too small of a wastegate opening causing boost creep (possibly needing a port and/or new flapper etc...custom work anyway), the possible need for a new tune (depending), not receiving them clocked correctly, and not even knowing if they're all manufactered the same...or whether they'll back you up in a warranty situation etc?

    Seems obvious to me, but I guess I could see why some of the adventurous might give it a go...not I.
