I am not aware of another "available" kit at this time. I do know that the VF kit is advertised as coming with a fuel pump. My power numbers are using a stock fuel pump. Running an aftermarket pump increases those values significantly.

The car is simply amazing - drives like OEM only with much more power and BETTER FUEL ECONOMY! We learned this during the brutal CARB testing process - they test for fuel consumption too

maybe they crossed the line first, but they must've taken a short cut. isnt' the torque below what you guys make with a chip/exhaust. also whp is only a little more.

Our dyno reads on the conservative side. Here is a comparo between stock, chipped and our BT kit... it makes a fair amount more than both!

ah, you're absolutely right - missed that

would the kit really be worth it without a fuel pump included? $6000 seems pretty steep for a +45ish hp gain (from a chipped A4). The advertised AWE BT Kit puts out 375-400hp at the crank and includes everything for $5400

Not knocking you guys, your product does have the advantage of being *real*, available RIGHT NOW (which should not be understated) and is not just a prototype Stasis is the first company ushering in the era of 300+ hp B7 A4's

The torque curve is nice - it maintains the torque at the low end for everyday street driving.

Looks like you don't lose any low end torque, common with a bigger turbo. Overall CHP and WHP numbers seem a little low though. 300hp and 257whp...would've expected more from a BT 2.0T. say Mustangs conservative? Try strapping that thing on a dyno dynamics and watch those numbers plummet.

On a side note, I find it hilarious that the BT kit is makeing less HP that some guys claim they are getting with their K03.

Forget the top-end peak HP 'guesstimates' - they mean little in the real world. Instead, look at those huge gains in the torque curves from ~2500-6000rpm.

Those are gains you will feel EVERY time you touch the right pedal !

I told myself that I would stay conservative with my A4, but this kit is making it hard. CARB legal, and MPG increases?

I might be able to convince myself that this kit will pay for itself with gas savings...

Next year could be very interesting for me and my car...

BINGO! We are using a K-04 variant from Mahle, developed using our relationship from our race team. Its a great turbo and runs really really well on the track or on the way to work.

All of our dyno numbers are with the catalyst in place and running on CA 91 octane fuel. Using 93 octane will produce slight gains and more consistent results.

We should be testing aftermarket fuel pumps shortly. Initial estimates (from experience with our transverse kits) indicate that a 15-20hp/tq gain without any change in software, and more with a software revision that will be available soon.

Ahh I see it. That is a different type of kit - that is a GT based turbo. I would not really compare the two. The AWE kit has a higher potential horsepower number if you strengthen/build the motor where as ours was designed to be a bolt on (no internal mods needed) We wanted a turbo kit that can be used on a daily driver, one that you can extract reliable horsepower from without any compromise. If you look at those graphs, at 3000rpm we are making 60 more ftlbs of torque at the wheels... thats a difference you can feel. AWE also uses 1.28 (we use 1.20) to estimate crank power (and their dyno usually gives a higher number than ours) so comparisons between theirs and ours get tough. That being said - they make a great product and we like those guys.

Anyway, I didnt mean to start a dyno war. Our kit offers great gains. I will have power numbers with a fuel pump soon.

CARB stands for California Air Research Board. They create a standard for emmissions control that is being adopted by most states now. Having this CARB EO# means that you legally will pass smog and will never get hassled for having illegal upgrades on your vehicle. Having this cert means that we are not adding to the global pollution any more than an OEM car does... Its our way of staying GREEN without having to drive a PRIUS!

if Audi had a ( "TRD"-like division ) I think this is the kind of a kit that they would produce. - Stable horsepower, every-day reliable and doesn't make internals go nuts.
Price is killing me a bit though.. 5k really?..

uhh, read the last few posts above yours.

for about the same price, the AWE BT kit will get you a garret BT, fuel pump, high flow cat, etc.

i think people are (and will be) always comparing the two just because the two kits will be offered at similar price points and one is supposed to produce more power than the other.

anyway, i'm going to stop - dont want to take anything away from stasis' achievement.. good work
