Thanks Greeney, I no longer have the same wheels on the car so it has a slightly different look. I think the 5 spoke is a natural on the S5 but now I have a 10-spoke Mesh setup. I'll have to post new pics to get AZ's opinion.

The first pic on the thread is from the second day after getting the car, so I didn't have much done. The two pics I added have E-codes installed from Madaudi. I looked at trying to remove the amber in ways similar to the B6 or even B7 baking method but Audi uses a new permanent glue that is much stronger than they used a few years ago. Impossible to remove the amber without destroying the housings. The wheels are Forged LS5's.

Quattrings - What size did you go with on your new DPE's? I'm confused because I talked to Alvin at Madaudi and he said I could go 20x10 all around but the guy at Autobahn Exotics said not to go wider than 8.5 because it'll mess with the 4wd. I want to go as wide as possible but 20x10 on the front doesn't sound right to me.

The S5 B8 chassis is completely different than past Audis. MTM actually runs 10.5" widths front and rear but it has some poke and is kind of pushing it IMO. Audi uses 20x9s for their upgrade package on the A5 so going wider than 8.5" definitely won't damage the vehicle. The only way to potentially effect the Quattro is to use different rolling diameters between the front and rear wheels. I believe the threshold is 3% Tirerack recommends 9.5" all the way around but they have some 10" packages also.

Thanks for the insight man that helps a lot. How are the springs working out? I'm thinking of going with the OE H&R springs - Less drop but supposedly a slightly better ride.

H&R Springs are definitely working out well. Handling and ride are very good, although my 25 series can be harsh on So Cal freeways. Now that the car has settled - I have a one finger gap between the tire and fenders. I think the 1" lowering springs from H&R are perfect if you don't want to go too low.

I am actually running DPE Wheels on the car. I originally had the LS5s which seem to go very well on the S5 but have since changed it up a bit. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pics on his Ibis S5 also - I think it will look incredible on his car!

Thanks Switchface. I agree - Meteor is a color you have to get used to. Looks great in the sun but soon as some clouds roll in or the light diminishes, the color takes on a blue-ish green. It has taken me some time to warm up to it. You can't go wrong with Phantom, it's a great looking color!

I had some pics but my HD crashed and wiped them out. I'm planning on taking some new ones today though.

Me and you get the June gloom by the beach here in socal, so its something to conisder...then again, its definately a way to stand out from every other color on the road. You think a smokey/classy tint on the windows would change the overall hue of the car?

Not that my brilliant black s4 is a whole lot easier to keep clean when that morning dew/mist settles off the ocean.

I need to see a phantom vs meteor in the flesh in different settings. Ha...Im obsessing, I love it!!

Definitely - that we do! I also thought about tinting before the summer gets here but I've been holding off because I really like to see the Magma interior against the relatively drab color of Meteor. I think a subtle medium tint might look nice though. I still think black or phantom are 'THE' color for the S5. It just looks classy, like it's wearing a suit.
