Hoping someone can help me understand how the A/C system ties into the other systems, and if it is possible to bypass it.

Background - when I was out of town for over a month, my neighbor took my 2008 Cabrio without my permission or knowledge. I don't know how much she drove it or what may have happened during that time - all I know is that there was physical damage to the seats and interior, and, something was run over, causing the A/C line from the compressor to the drier to be shredded. I got estimates on repair, but thought I'd just do without the A/C.

Since then, I've started to have a lot of other problems and symptoms. When I turn the key to ACC, there is a loud clicking coming from the center dash. This has been consistent, and mechanics have just shrugged. Then I had a no crank/no start, replaced starter, but car was stalling immediately, replaced PVC and purge valve, after driving a few times kept stalling again just after start, the EPC light/codes, and the fan would start immediately, and very loud. After fiddling with it, checking relays/fuses/codes, it will often start and run fine, but only for a few drives. Then, the next day, it stalls right after starting.

I'm fed up with the numerous mechanics I've used, who just want to replace mechanical parts or the ECM. I'm going to take another stab at figuring this out, so if anyone can offer some advice, I sure would appreciate it. The codes I am pulling are below.

Where would you start? Could the A/C system be at the root of most of this? Can I safely bypass the entire climate control system, or does it tie into engine cooling, etc? My battery is technically good, but is due for replacement - not sure if I should do that prior to more troubleshooting? I also realize that some of these codes may be due to having the battery and ECM disconnected, so I am thinking that the static codes are the ones to attack first?
