    New Car Time - B8.5 v B9-9.5

Hey AZ, been awhile and need some community help.
I have been out of my B8 S5 since Dec 2021. I am now interested in getting back into something fun. With my new position, I am fortunately able to WFH and not drive much. I'd estimate 4,000-6,000mi a year. I missed the tuning opportunity on my B8 4.2 S5 so I've been entertaining the idea of a B9+ model but boy do I miss that sound.
I would likely only do a stg 1 ECU, stg2 TCU on the B9 or B9.5 but I'm under the impression the B9.5 isnt as tunable yet? My eye was on a 2019 anyway partly due to this handicap and also that the MY 2018s have rocker arm issues? Was I dreaming or did I read that this goes for all the B9's actually..

I have an opportunity to acquire a low mileage B8.5 coupe with ceramics, nav, black optic, and exclusive paint option. The v8 sound was something I thoroughly enjoyed. The extra power in the RS5 checks that small itch I always wanted as well as the 8k+ tach. No tuning would be done here just suspension bits, wheels, and maybe some minor exterior bits.

WWYD? I feel the value retention of the high rev v8 is the last of its kind and given the lower mileage I'd apply, would be a decent investment. I'd get the power bump and tech in the B9/B9.5... feeling torn. Warranty options too...

    * I cant find a white B9 with grey stitching, Black Optic, Dynamic, and under 40k miles (1 owner) ANYWHERE!

    Thanks!

Cant say enough great things about my 2021 B9.5 RS5. It is very tunable, sexy looking, and fast. Some B9.5 models built for the 2024 model year are equipped with an ECU secured gateway preventing reflashing of any of the vehicle control modules, but anything prior to that should be good to go.

Thanks! I havent been paying much attention until recent so it must've been the MY2024+ with the secured gateway. 034 for all the goodies though if I make the decision for the B9..
