Ones ecu is flashed with euro manual file
Can I code ecu to both manual and auto or will it be manual only file?

Try hitting up Aaron Walizer, I think he can help you. He’s a big tuner for the 2.7T gang, but I’m pretty sure he can hook this up, too.

Manual only. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Did you manual swap the S8 or just want the Euro tune because it’s a little more spicy?

I’m not certain on SAI plates, but I bet checking the part numbers from B5 to D2 for the gasket would give you your answer. I just got a set from JAE Innovations in Canada for one of my 2.7T’s.

Edit: they do! 034 Motorsports confirmed when they introduced the 2.7T plates back in 2011.

D2 S8 should be ME7.1.1 just like 2.7T so the SAI and O2 delete is well documented and easy to accomplish, you can definitely get that done. I would wonder if coding options already exist in the firmware for the manual transmission in NA firmware as it does with the BEL cars as well as C6 S6 w/ME7.1.1? I suspect it does.

You'll also need to change coding on the cluster and ABS module for the manual swap.

Express efi can do manual flash.
There is no provision for manual code in NA ecu file .
600$ for o2 and sai delete with tune.
Ecu needs to be sent in or buy core from them.

$600 seems like so much to pay when ME7.1/7.1.1 is so well documented on sites like nefmoto... I'd look around and make sure there isn't someone willing to do it for less, I'd bet there are people that would do it for free on the tuner forums if you bought a cheap bench read tool and just sent them the stock file.
